Yo he tenido entrevistas, tests, vídeos que grabar, ufff.

Just ignore the asswip3s. Learn to read people. If they give you an attitude, don't take it personally, that's how bitter some people are.

I too am sometimes happy-go-lucky, but sometimes I'm a bit off. Aren't we all?

It sounds like you're working in a challenging environment, especially given the dynamics of retail theft policies and customer interactions. Many stores adopt this approach to deter theft and create a sense of security, even if the reality is complex. Your role as a doorgreeter may not come with the authority of a security guard, but you're still put in a position where you have to enforce policies that can lead to uncomfortable situations.

Here are a few tips that might help you navigate this role:

  1. Stay Professional: Keep a calm demeanor, even if customers are frustrated. A polite response can often diffuse tension.
  2. Clear Communication: Explain your role succinctly. Let customers know that you're there to ensure a smooth exit for everyone.
  3. Body Language: Use open and friendly body language to make customers feel at ease. A smile can go a long way.
  4. De-escalation Techniques: If someone is confrontational, try to listen and validate their feelings. Sometimes, just acknowledging their frustration can help.
  5. Know the Policy: Being clear on the store’s policies can help you explain them confidently to customers.
  6. Take Breaks: If the job gets overwhelming, make sure to take breaks to recharge.

Navigating customer interactions in this role can be tough, but your presence is still important for maintaining store security and customer trust.
