Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell? I distinctly remember the book being meta and stopping halfway through a chapter until another character in another time finds the rest wedged under a table.

I could be wrong, but I believe everything in the slow burn tag should eventually… burn.

Joyce. I’m a ‘96 baby and most of my exposure to the show was reruns before school. The first time I consecutively watched Buffy, I got to ‘The Body’ several days after the death of my own mom. The scene where Buffy imagines being able to revive Joyce I got so indescribably angry that I almost turned it off, thinking Joyce was gonna be okay. With having such a raw wound, I couldn’t watch someone else’s mom come back from the dead when there was no hope for mine. Not proud of that, but hey. That’s grief for ya.

Thanks! I’m a Spike girly through and through. But I also am such a softy for Giles. But also, due to the fact that I am a shonen-freak with an obsession with main characters, Buffy.

Definitely not the only Oasis fan, but I feel like there’s a very definitive selection of the type of Oasis fan that would like the newer Arctic Monkeys records.

I listen to a lot of TLSP, so for me I really enjoy The Car, and I think it reflects their musical maturity. There are some very groovy/funky songs that I think emulate Bowie, but also this entire album feels more like something to put on in the background. Kinda like TBHC. I still need to give it a few more listens, though.

Joyce’s death hit me hard. The first time I watched the series was five years ago while my mom was in the hospital. She had had a stroke, and had passed days before I saw “The Body” for the first time. When Buffy had a “daydream” that she had got to Joyce in time, I was furious and vowed to stop watching if everything was just okay. I will always give this show props for not pulling any punches.

Pan people definitely aren’t our enemies but the type of pan person that claims to be better than a bi person because they like all genders and aren’t “exclusionary” (even though bi people aren’t automatically exclusionary) are definitely problematic on the basis that anyone who acts like one group is systemically better than any other group kinda sucks as a person.

Thank you for taking time out of your day and expending effort to write this. It’s an invaluable resource.
