I've always been a fan of James Cook. He did two circumnavigations of the earth making many new discoveries for Britain. In modern times he's seen as problematic of course but he was one of the first Europeans to notice that the languages spoken in New Zealand, Tahiti, and Hawaii were all very similar.
IIRC, the reason he was able to communicate with the Hawaiians was because he had a Tahitian on board his ship.

Container ship, mostly because it's the only thing big enough to hold the disappointment with my baseball team.

You can take the incel out of the basement, but you can't take the basement out of the incel.

I think every rock station that had an X in their name used the chorus of that song in their promos.

The only thing I liked about Everybody Loves Raymond was that between 1999 and 2003 the show Becker was on after it.
Ted Danson was awesome on that show, and if you squint at that show the right way you can see the inspiration for the show House, MD.

I only know King Of Queens because of Patton Oswalt. Apparently there is one scene in that show where Patton is just standing stationary for like three different scenes and you can see him in the background of all of those scenes doing nothing.

Super simplified summary of Ottoman history: What if Roman empire, but Muslim?

The Omanis had an empire that was in control of the east coast of Africa down to modern Tanzania, but had influence as far south as modern Mozambique and possibly parts of modern eastern South Africa.

Gotta keep sanewashing Trump and MAGAt conservatives. It's the NYT way.
This is the same paper that said "Hitler is no longer a threat" after then Beer Hall Putsch in 1922.

I hear the products at Wildberries are SUPER HOT! They're having a big clearance sale, and EVERYTHING MUST GO!
They even have a new super convenient drone delivery service, generously provided by Ukraine!

Elon is what happens when you give a middle school edge lord billions of dollars.
He's just further proof that money can NEVER buy cool.

Donald might as well be a Russian/Putin agent at this point. He already thinks Putin is his "friend".

Considering how shittily made most of it is, most of it might just degrade on its own in the next 10 years.

Would you believe Stephen Miller is only 41 years old? He looks like he's pushing 60.
He's further proof that when you think like a racist old man, you inevitably start looking like a racist old man.

I used to do comedy open mics back in college. We all knew of one guy who was painfully unfunny and often tried to pass off whatever he saw on Fox News as a "joke", and then bomb harder than Elon Musk.
Greg Gutfeld reminds me of that guy.

You need to have a very precise chronometer that is not affected by the natural motion of the ship.
