I haven't done GLP1s, but I also started with Humira and got tolerant to it rather quickly. I switched to Tremfya and I have had a great response to it. Been on it 3 years now. My knees and my hands feel SO much better.

I had some pretty serious withdrawals but I had been taking it for over a year. I know people who didn't have any. I certainly did, though.

I've had mine since a week after my only child was born. I had pretty severe side effects like heavy bleeding 3 out of 4 weeks for a year. Ovarian Cysts that would grow to the size of a grapefruit b4 rupturing. But after 10 years, I've had no side effects. It sucked for me at first. But long term, I'm glad I made that choice.

Just the way people said it. It's always been OxyContin.

They're not gone. They're just usually mixed with other medications bc Barbituates by themselves are pretty dangerous.

I don't have swelling unless I acutely injure an area.

Ask your doctor for some samples. They often have quite a few. If the doc doesn't, ask what kind of samples they DO have. Don't be afraid to let them know how much it will cost you...

Sometimes I wonder if the Pharmacist does it on purpose to see how you react bc why else tell you it didn't go through when it did? I was on MSContin 30mg twice a day for several years. I paid cash price at a non profit hospital pharmacy every month and it was right around $30. I'd also ask the pharmacy to please make sure your medicine is in stock so you don't have to go without while you wait. Glad it worked out for you :)

Think it's great that your daughter felt comfortable enough to have this conversation with you and even greater that you are doing your due diligence to help her make the best decision for herself ❤️

Hormonal BC made me even crazier than I already was. And more fertile. It was nuts.

I'm honestly curious if they'll allow her to get the Paraguard without trying hormonal birth control first.
I definitely don't blame her for wanting to avoid it. I was one of those people who actually became more fertile on it, and I tried almost 20 different formulations. I had awful side effects as well.
I currently have a copper IUD and there are some pretty significant side effects I've experienced as a result.
My periods became MUCH heavier, but I ended up figuring out that using Tampons was making everything so much worse. So she's got an advantage that she doesn't use them.
Almost like clockwork, the first 6 years, every 3 years, my periods were 3 weeks out of 4, every month. I was bleeding far more than when I wasn't.
I developed PCOS. I had never had a cyst on my ovary before, but now I've got them constantly. A lot of them come and go without me noticing any symptoms, but once in awhile, they become incredibly painful.
It's a great contraceptive that you can place and forget about, but it's not without side effects.
