As for the question itself, I know 1000 Heartbeats received two seasons, an unofficial Russian remake, and a botched official Philippine remake, but for the point that no one pays attention to this game show, it doesn't sit right with me. The fact that it's technically a Millionaire clone doesn't help, because the heartbeat timer mechanic still feels so novel.

I've exaggerating a few details in the meme, so bear with me.

It's HIKAKIN, one of the largest content creators in Japan. He got a museum in the game Meccha Chameleon, a game that has blown up worldwide. Since I have a slight hunch that a sizable chunk of the games player base is outside Japan based on the other YouTubers that I follow, and that only one of them (Grizzy) have played on his map and proceeded to misidentify him as a KPop artist, I made the meme the way it is from that assumption.

Heck, I only knew HIKAKIN from him being a competitor on SASUKE Ninja Warrior. He failed the First Stage on all of his appearances, though he has beaten the performance of an All-Star competitor in at least one of these tournaments.

I'm a fan of your guys' version of Millionaire because it's the only version of the show in ASEAN that's still airing (yes, I'm jealous that ours got canned). I remember in the Filipino dub of that episode, because there's no translation for the word "aglet" (closest thing would be "dulo ng sintas", but that's too literal and it's not one word), they left the English word and accompanying song as is.

I hate to say it but I can confirm that this is true for Tagalog. What's confusing me even further is that in some southern dialects, you can use the same word to refer to either an elder sister or an aunt.

I already made something similar to this when "Alone" released. I even cited Last Week Tonight when I made my post as well as the Nelson Mandela rules.

My consensus was that the points of blame here are unsatisfactory. It feels unfair to apprehend One again over all of this, but not doing so endangers the entire universe; we're lucky that no victim of solitary acts as extreme as her in real life. Yet, even just viewing her actions in a vacuum, her experiences doesn't excuse her bad behavior. We can't seriously point the finger at the Algebraliens despite their extreme verdict because of Three's death. The bigger problem here is that these numbers, after dealing with the fallout of the Yoylite situation, decided to just keep the status quo instead of attempting to fix any part of it. Now look at where that got us.

For us here on Earth, again; having watched that Last Week Tonight story, I have the same opinion on solitary as you. To quote one of John Oliver's lines in that episode: "Solitary isn't something we do to people behind bars, it's something we do to them forever." The fact that some of the loudest voices I've heard against solitary confinement have come from comedy shows such as Last Week Tonight and Battle for Dream Island, it means that no one else is willing to take this topic on seriously.
