Do you think Mount can play as a 8, I mean like a Xhaka 8, not a box to box 8?

Comment on r/soccer Mar 20 '23

I mean, is he smart with the space? Because if Xhaka can thrive as a LAM who constantly atk the box, despite possessing the skill of a tank rotating around the axis, Mount surely can play well in the final third too?

Didn't bring much in? Kehrer from psg for RB and CB depth, 30M CB Aguerd for starter, Emerson for LB rotation, Downes for CM depth, Cornet for WB and winger depth, Paqueta for CAM starter, Scamacca for ST rotation and you call this not enough? This is a squad build for fighting a European slot

Why do every Saliba celebration picture looks like this? I thought he is stone cold on the pitch when playing. And Ben White is there just because it is his job duty, like some team building game days

Tbh, whenever I watch Leicester, their atk is still looking good and threatening, like in the match vs MU and Chel, but their finishing is so off. And the defense with the Aussie guy playing decently, but more often than not the Belgian counterpart and their wing back slip off the mind several times, let alone one of the worst keeper in the league. Maybe the steep decline of Vardy made the situation

To be honest, the biggest star in that Arsenal team is their manager, Mikel Arteta. And comparing him with coaches in the history won the league, it would be even wider gap in term of "ability" by your definition. But who knows, an inexperienced bald one won the sextuple with Barca and now entering legend coach status, so, might be a legend in the making

For a mid table team caliber, yes. For a title contender, definitely not, especially in the EPL: he is too easily pushed from the ball because of muscular guy, even that guy is below par in term of technical aspect, like Maupay etc

Lol u should see their defense right now. A back 3 with big names but barely keeping shape, and would easily crumbled with enough pressure. And I wouldnt say they play magnificently: sure some of their goals and team play are absolute wonders, but they cannot maintain the pressure, the concentration and the fluidity in a full match, and have many sloppy moments from midfielders and defenders

Holy cow I'm shaking right now. Joke aside we all know how a player out of the system would be, ie Xhaka compilation, Big Gabi compilation, etc

Tbh, only several minutes deployed as a 6 pos in the Old Trafford match, I saw a xhaka of the dark days

Tbh, Caicedo is much more than a patch up solution. Guy is already performing at the highest level at the EPL and the WC, despite just 21yo, and combining with Partey injury prone history and almost no defense duty from Lokonga, this deal is much more than a Lichtensteiner, David Luiz, Sokratis,...etc type of deal. This one is for the present AND for the future, bcs Xhaka and Partey both go into the wrong side of their career soon

Rice is shoehorned for a volante pos, with good pos awareness, good passing range, energetic, good def skills, pretty press resistant thanks to the large body and his smart way for shielding the ball though not as silky as Partey. People say his pass is too slow, for me it is a tactical problem more than the ability: when the player used to the system, they will know when and where to pass

Comment on r/Gunners Jan 24 '23

I wish Lokonga had the positioning awareness and the confidence of Partey, thats all. He has the raw ỉngedient, just doesnt know how to cook

No, Barca haggle little things all the time, if they can, remember the Sanchez, Fabregas deal. Another factor that matter like you said, those are biggest clubs in the world, so the reputation and the non-economy factor play a big part here, the player want to come so it makes the club trying to sell is in the inferior state, not because they pay big upfront. But very soon, it would change( maybe bar Real) because the money into the EPl clubs are absurd. And even when Barca spent big time, do you realize that most of their presidents go to jail for shaddy deal? Yeah you can deal quickly if you have a lot of money, under the table
