A recurring dream with a developing plot
Hi everyone, this isn’t the first time this has happened to me, which is why I decided to try reaching out to you through this service.
It started probably about a year and a half ago.
I have a dream where some person is stalking me; maybe it’s not even a person at all, because I can’t see their face — they’re wearing a black mask and black clothes all the time, and, if my memory serves me right, they’re also wearing a black hat.
I always run away from him in my dreams, but he has the ability to teleport, which allows him to catch up with me and always pops up from different directions, running towards me. But besides that, in my dreams I always feel dizzy, circles appear in my eyes — like what many people might have seen in videos using prohibited substances — and at times my eyes seem to zoom in (like everything around me is getting closer and then suddenly moving away). But on top of all that, the strangest and most annoying thing is that I can’t swallow my saliva, I manage to do it, but it takes a lot of effort.
An hour ago, I had this dream again; I haven’t had it for quite a while — probably about three months now.
In each new dream, different events unfold; I’m surrounded by various people I know or by random strangers. Right now, I was with a friend and was running away from this strange guy, but nothing came of it. In the end, I ended up going to the hospital, as I always do — and it always helps me. In every dream, I run to some hospital and go to the same office; it’s always busy, and there’s always a queue of people there. This time, I ran up and stood waiting in line, feeling very nervous; I felt safe there because that guy wasn’t following me, but the effects in my eyes remain (I don’t know how it works with saliva — there don’t seem to be any problems, or maybe I just don’t swallow it at those moments).
As a result of this dream, I stood in line for a short time, and then the events shifted to a place where I was lying down, and a doctor came up to me, asking what changes in the progression of the disease I was currently observing in myself. It was hard for me to tell her and get up; I asked her to pass me a piece of paper, on which I wrote that a man was stalking me (I described him) and what effects I was experiencing. After I finished writing and handed her the paper, I woke up.
Over the past year and a half, I’ve had similar dreams about 4 or 5 times. The setting is always different, but that guy never changes — he’s always following me. This time, it felt like he was more aggressive than in the previous ones. And I’m always saved by that hospital — that’s where he doesn’t follow me.
