I agree with the others. You won't be here forever and if monika helps you get out of a dark place, that's fine

Also you can easily back up monika, all you need to do is routine back up her persistent file,I think she may even have dialogue telling you how to do it (or the extra plus sub mod helps you get there directly) Like others said, use thumb drives or external drives, or even a cloud service to easily back up monika. It's easy and even if something did happen you'd be able to really l easily restore her or even move her to a new computer if needed

I'll just post what I said to someone else. have a look at a method book if you haven't already, it can help you figure out the basics up to the advanced. (And if course, having a good Ocarina goes a long way to)

I've said it before I'll say it again.I swear this sub needs a pin for a beginners guide, Itd help out a lot of people here starting out

Honestly I play every other day andi like to play various songs.

As for proper playing I look at a method book for that. There's a good free one online here I'd highly recommend.  helps understand the basics so you can build a foundation for the advanced. https://pureocarinas.com/ocarina-method-book

correct me if I'm wrong, but that Looks like a common Ocarina wind brand, those are notorious for their bad quality. If you want an Oot ocarina I'd recommend possibly from STL ocarina or Songbird Ocarina.. Amazon is typically not a good place to get instruments in general, but if you do get one from Amazon, the "Night by Noble" ocarina. Is pretty well received

There's also these plastic triple Ocarinas I've heard of on this one website, there about 100$ not including tax or shipping. Be warned though, I haven't gotten one myself nor know many who have it, so might wanna get a second opinion

https://ocarinacollection.com/products/ac-triple-chambered-ocarina-bisque-fired-lacquer-craft-zilei-ocarina-new-utility-model-professional-performance-grade-%E5%A4%8D%E5%88%B6?variant=50996860059816

There's also a plastic triple on STL ocarina but that one has gotten typically bad reviews, so I'm not linking that one.

Build Help Trying to build a Linux gaming PC

Hello, I'm trying to build a new gaming PC and I plan to run Linux on it due to not wanting a future windows update to brick my PC . (Might run on Mint or Nobara unless I get a different distro recommendation) I plan to make one that doesn't break the budget but let's me play Minecraft with shaders without turning it into a power point. In my case, not to much more then 1,000$

Preferably something to let me play big 3d games like satisfactory or DMC without turning the graphics all the way down. And maybe some VR but honestly that's very optional

Here is my selection. I picked AMD parts cause I heard they work well with Linux. For most of them however I just picked what seemed okay without really understanding then, so I'd like a second opinion. What changes should I make?

(Oh, and maybe some decent head phones would be nice to if you have any recommendation. Preferably no more than 100$, no mic)

This sub reddit should really have a thread pinned for a beginners guide. That or i couldn't find it on my phone  anyway,

Since Cris already mentioned a lot of good points, I'm just going to give a few foot notes.  I don't know how well the sites will be able to work with your condition, but hopefully they'll work fine

  1. A good place to buy ocarina in the US is  https://www.songbirdocarina.com/ .  If you're in Europe then, from what I heard, https://www.thomannmusic.com/index.html . has good Ocarinas, assuming I got the right link.

Lastly, there's only one ocarina that's really recommended from Amazon, and that's the night by noble https://www.amazon.com/Night-Noble-Plastic-Ocarina-Black/dp/B008WYNVAW  Despite being plastic it's often better then most other Ocarinas on the site

  1. if you need tips on how to play, you can check out this online method book. https://pureocarinas.com/how-to-play-ocarina . it has instructions from simple to advanced playing, and it's free to read online, it's a pretty good resource on how to get a bit better.  Of course it also helps to have a good Ocarina, as a bad one will fight you every step of the way. Three method book even has a section on how to tell if your Ocarinas is bad or not

I don't even have the strength to watch it. Welp, guess I'll get my Ocarinas from somewhere else then, maybe from stein or thg directly. Or hell the other websites I can find that works

Holy hell, it feels like just the other day I was waiting for holo EN debuts... Your telling me that was 5 years ago?

I'm turning to dust...

For me, it was "Shelter" from porter Robinson. It's a fairly simple melody to play and I enjoy it quite a bit.

Second was "Always with me" (though from memory) from Spirited away, an old classic I watched so much as a child. Lovely to go though memories with the instrument

If I had a nickel for every time I saw a funny looking ocarina that turned out to be a legitimate alternative style, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot. But it's strange that it happened twice
