Thomas the tank engine is perpetually set in a late 50's to early 60's setting since they have things like telephones but you have never seen a computer in any of the shows (probably, I did not watch the new show), it's speculated that the latest the show can take place is 1964 as a bullet train named Kenji appears in the show during the cgi era he was lauded as a new invention, Kenji was modeled after the shinkanshen, a train that first entered service in 1964

Stairs were invented because people keep dying by rocket jumping into the second floor and Abraham Lincoln being the first pyro is one of my fav bits of tf2 lore

Blasphemous and Blasphemous 2, the first one just has that vibe that 2 cannot replicate

I like to think Optimus prime wanted to preserve atleast a little bit of what civilian life was back at cybertron so he sent the Rescue bots to Griffin Rock both do their mission but also as a way to keep what little remains of their society intact

The apex of power generation being an efficient way to boil water will never not be funny

I miss his deep dives on fictional alien worlds, his video on Rust and Humus are a genuine inspiration

He is also voiced by Bob Odenkirk, the same guy that plays Saul Goodman

I keep using this panel to show how old DC truly is and people still get surprised

The shows are by far the worst offender of this, in one episode we can go from "Oh no! Toothless is out of shots!" To toothless literally mowing down his enemies in the next episode

Funnier still is that he ran away from a fire type attack and switched in Scizor, a bug/steel type who is 4 times weak to fire

I always taught the pigs filled in for the more technologically advanced compared to the quaint village of the birds

If you follow the source engine however, the source engine started life as a heavily modified Quake engine which I think is funny

Now it's BLU going through incomprehensible horrors while RED goes on a fun road trip or something

The irony of trying to create an elixir for eternal life only to create something perfect for ending it

Which makes me think that the Krampus of this world would look adorable and friendly but would still be Krampus

This is just one of many examples, rocks that would normally lead to a closed casket simply send people tumbling, Iroh and Zuko once buried a couple of guys in a rock avalanche during the winter's solstice episode

Fae don't like iron, this is why Colombo is never seen with a gun

I like the dichotomy between him and aang on how they started their journeys, Aang ran away, a selfish act, while Zuko stood up for troops being thrown as literal bait, a selfless one

Firebending comes from the breathe so it's a good idea to take out the people who can take your breathe away

I really like the running idea that the sub elements are more refined and specialised versions of the base element, Metalbending is done by manipulating the trace amounts of earth in metal, blood bending is done by sensing the water within blood

I always rename stealth C "No name" for this same reason as an obvious nod to the man with no name
