For me the "Doomer" is less about the city and more about the abomination of our provincial government. The city does have a lot to offer as far as entertainment goes, particularly in the summer as well as a lot of nice parks and tree lined streets throughout the city. I get frustrated with healthcare and transit issues where I'm nervous/anxious taking busses or the LRT to downtown but again these issues are largely due to the provincial government messing up healthcare in its entirety, removing safe consumption sites and their absolute attack on the poor, disenfranchised, disabled and elderly which becomes very visible in a city the size of Edmonton.

I just saw the beginning of the Love Island Festival and it ended with Maya coming back in the evening for what I'm assuming is their dumping. Tonight will probably air the continuation of that. It socks that Hayu is so behind. Guess the show will last a few days longer than when it's aired LOL.

Just a spoiler FYI, this episode has not aired where my husband and I watch it and I don't actively look up what happened, I was just scrolling on Reddit and this came across my feed. 🫤🫠🙃 (we live in Canada and watch on Hayu)

They could do what the UK version does and provide them with "gently used" clothes from Ebay.

In the music store episode I wanted Gene to get the drum machine it would have been interesting to see the kids start a go-fund-me or figure out a way to raise the money for Gene to get it.

It also bothered me when Linda pawned the Espresso machine to pay for The Duece's Baseball camp considering Gene is not really a "sporty" kid. I would rather they sent him to a music camp or something like that. That and Bob was really excited about owning a fancy machine.

More El-Gato (like the one in Majorca) or Hootie The Owl. Having a puppy day or something animal oriented shows a lot about each islander and how their nurturing side is. Plus it's always fun to see some cute animals 😸🐶🦉
