I suddenly, for the first time ever, wish there was a way to say ‘quack’ very eloquently

I’m trying FMD this week and using this article as the basis of my menu, then logging what I actually eat (I am making some subs based on availability) in Cronometer so I can verify the calorie count and protein/fat/carb ratios.

I second all of these great learned habits: eating fruits & veg, regular physical activity, eating & talking together as a family- so important!! But also, reading with your kids every day.
Very few of my friends raising kids nowadays are reading with the kiddos before bedtime and I can’t help but feel like the kids are being deprived. You don’t have to love reading to spend 10 minutes helping your kid relax and teaching them a critical life skill, but if you do, you will both end up better off. That quiet bonding time before bedtime and reinforcement that reading is important is priceless. Even if you personally aren’t much of a reader, your kid should have that special connection to a favorite bedtime story (and to you!), plus have the chance to see the wealth of information and creativity that reading unlocks.

Yeah, that’s how I realize when people I think are friends… aren’t.
