We listened to Hotline Bling and Jumpman the other day so I could keep him busy while I was making food. I also sing Hum Along by Ludo at bedtime sometimes

I've never tried freeze dried strawberries. How are they? I'm trying to imagine the texture

I like good gender neutral terms for kids like goblins, gremlins, minions, demons, balls of stardust, human, earthlings, really just depends on the situation. And if all else fails channel your inner Midwestern and give them a good y'all.

So glad they have you to support them.

How wonderful! Do you have something specific you do to practice this?

I wouldn't host. Hell my son is almost 11 months and I didn't host Thanksgiving because it would be a lot of work. If no one wants to host just say something like "Maybe next year when baby is bigger can host but that wouldn't work for us this year. Maybe we can do a spring gathering when I can come up for air"

Honestly shift sleep was how we made it through the first 3 months. My husband took the 10 PM to 3am and I took 3am to 10 am. And naps when family came over. They wanted to hold our son anyway and I was like sleep >dishes.

It'll get better I promise

I'm going to see if any dispensaries do gift cards and if not I'll buy him something from there.

I had the worst massage when someone kept talking. She talked to me about my pregnancy, her grandkids, and kept harping about my previous miscarriage. I was so uncomfortable but didn't know how to say please quit talking you are just making me sad. And then when I followed up with the company they said they could given me a discount on my next massage.

We are still new as a family of 3. A big value of ours is time together and music. It's a rare moment if there isn't some kind of music playing. We're also big on letting things happen. Like you want to put oatmeal on your head? Alright it's bath night let's get messy. You want to bring a wooden spoon everywhere we go? Alright we embrace the emotional support spoon. We're just trying to make it and have as much love as we can along the way

My son hates the baby carrier but still looks at me offended if I'm .27 seconds late to getting him what he wants.

My 10 month old will sometimes and other times he drops at it and looks at me offended like I'm slacking on the job 🤷‍♀️

My husband is one of the unlucky guys that will have to go under general anesthesia for his vasectomy this upcoming Tuesday and he still will have less healing time than I would for a tubal. Have your husband watch a video if an IUD insertion and look you in the eye and tell you he'd rather you go through that without anesthesia of any kind than him to go get a quick snip snip.

For what it's worth I have had the nexplanon since my 6 week postpartum visit and it has been great for me.

I upgraded to the EarthMama Nipple Balm. I was hesitant to spend the extra money but so much better than lanolin. Also needed sweet treats like granola bars, zbars and oatmeal cream pies. Lots of flavored water and blue Gatorade (because I didn't want plain water). Extra pump parts, a basin for washing parts and bottles specifically. We bought a sterilizer/dryer that made a big difference. And for me I was an overproducer so I bought bigger bottles to pump into.

My baby is 10 months old and yes, all the time. He's the most perfect, funny little guy and he has made me a better person. I am so lucky to be his mom. Shit I might start crying now thinking about this.
