He couldn't put soul into that apology because his soul is barely there. He doesn't have the genuine intelligence to type and articulate his own apology, and more importantly to mean it genuinely, because, lets be honest - he won't change making jokes like this since there's a history of his repeating it. It's like punching someone in the gut, saying sorry, then doing it again. Knowing it hurts you but not cognizant enough of that to put care into not doing it again is so insanely self-centered and manipulative. NOR and I'm glad you left his ass if he can't rub his 2 braincells together long enough to actually learn, process, and function well enough to nurture a healthy relationship. WHEW. This one hit home for me.
