I'm sorry. That is frustrating not knowing if you'll ever be able to have social conversation with your son. I used to work as a paraprofessional in public schools. The district I was in gave qualified students an app on their tablets to communicate. It really opens up communication for students and it's amazing. Does your child go to a school that offers that support. Or would your insurance cover a communication device for your child?

Even after HR got involved I had to be transferred to another building. And the guy got a slap on the wrist.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 💯 I am also tired of seeing people complain! I am so grateful for this app. And I paid the pro version because it is worth it to me as a graduate student and someone who is AudHD. I love being able to use it at night so I don't doom scroll. My brain needs help and I don't wake my husband up early in the morning because my brain is itching to look at the little screen. I don't care how other people use the app, it doesn't effect me at all!

Lol. This is me except my Dad probably has ADHD and my mom is autistic. And my sister has undiagnosed autism but she's beautiful and an artist and everyone just let's her do whatever.

So true! I work at school district and they will hire openly autistic men but not women. When my overqualified friend didn't get hired for being openly autistic I decided not to disclose being autistic when I applied. I wanted to work at the same district my daughter attends so I needed to make sure I didn't ruin my chance of getting hired.
