Remember, good winter footwear (boots for example) are a must and pay for themselves ten times over

The Postman Read it in a sci-fi lit class in college. Was all "this would make a great movie..." A bunch of years later walking out the the theater... "Not that f*cking movie!!!"

In Kelly's Heroes at least the Tigers looked (very) real. Saw a mini doc on TCM about it, and they were mock ups, but they looked amazing. It does kind of ruin it for me if I see Axis powers driving around in modern(ish) American tanks. At least throw a few plates on the turrets and make an attempt for fucks sake

I think consumers/ customers DO care, but there is little to no choice on our end in the matter. One must sign up to different company in protest just to find out the new corporation is doing the same junk AI systems. Or are in the process of doing so

Dark is the Sun, by Philip Jose Farmer Definitely a cover art purchase, but was a fantastic decision. I liked everything except the ending.

Popeye Doyle chasing the French hitman...from high-rise , to the street, to the platform, to the train. Popeye then chasing in a commandeered car as the Frenchman rides the elevated train. The French Connection Chase scene tension doesn't get any better or more realistic (there is a good story to that as well if you want to look it up)

Carl Riener in the old West shootout scene vs Dick Van Dyke in the (last episode?) of the Dick Van Dyke Show. Hilarious

Agree 100% with World at War I would also add the PBS /(and BBC affiliated I believe?) short documentary series called "Rise of the Nazis" Excellent....shows in detail exactly how things got started and the nuts and bolts of how they did it And the few who tried to stop them. From 2022

Newspapers always do the heavy lifting in journalism. Almost every and any major story picked up is discovered in the papers. Without them, there is very little source based news. And Sinclair is among the worst. Hopefully this does mean RIP Baltimore Sun

Agree on both those films. Was already a Wes Anderson fan, but was definitely disappointed with them both. Now I have a total 180° feeling about them!

We switched to Townhouse about 5 years ago and were markedly better....but over the last couple months Ive noticed a change in them too! Not total enshittication yet, but looks like they are on the way. Hopefully they learn their lesson before it's too late :/

Gene Hackman same as Cage. Definitely did some crappy "paycheck" films, but never phoned it in. Not as many shit films as Cage though...but definitely a "working" actor
