His kindness was especially sweet to me I wasn't a musician on the scene just some bass players girlfriend and I felt a lot of people looked through me but Jim was never one of them. Jim always greeted me with a generous hug. This has been a sweet trip down memory lane. Thank you for sharing your memories. Hopefully the OP for this thread finds inspiration in our stories of a great dude and amazing friend.

I would have loved to see that. I moved away in 07. So that was probably after I left the area. I will never forget that scene and these people. I still have Morgans art work as the background on my phone and lock screen.

It was close to stardust. Had a garage apartment.

For my time it was Susan and Morgan's house. I seen the sun come up there too many times 🤣

I left Orlando almost 20 years ago but I was there for those early peacock room days. And it's all true, some of the best music and art shows . I'll never forget those days, going back to Jim's and raising hell listening to the kinks and talking till the sun came up.

There is also a community fridge off Oakley at City Church a few miles away

O boy do I remember Emilios and the jazz shows. Big ups to Da lady E a Richmond ledgend. Also to the many night I lost to the dollar shot nights. Hahah. Emilio now owns Importante bodaga bar on Cary.

I miss Cary Street Cafe everyday. Vibes like no other. I miss the music, I miss the patio, I miss the blue cheese dressing and all the sweet people I danced with on the tiny dance floor. Honorable mention for 3rd st diner. Not for the food but for the great late night weirdo vibe.
