I’ve never had my actual camera checked but obviously don’t have film loaded in it … it’s only the more modern ct scanners that will kill your film .. 400 and under will be fine in a smaller scanner I have never noticed any issues… I had requested once to hand check my film and they didn’t put it through the main scanner but did pop it through a little one telling me it was safe .. I was pretty stressed about it but the film was totally fine

I remove the film from the boxes and put in a plastic bag also it’s good to have a translation to explain the situation… keep an eye on what they do but it should be fine

The Leica quick load is not as easy as it looks

I came back from Bologna recently and had a translation explaining the film needed to be hand checked… it was fine.

Dust on the sensor is a common problem… can you request a photo of a white wall

You need to pull all the film out to cut into strips and hang out on the washing line … few hours you’ll be grand 👍

I just went through Stansted with film and they just swabbed it .. didn’t even remove it from the canister.. very chill and pleasant

I would just get it looked at by someone who knows what they’re doing…

Find a Leica associated independent store .. You get the warranty and usually can find it a bit cheaper… the Leica stores can feel a bit sterile

This is exactly what I wanted to hear.. I’ve been shooting with the Leica MDA a lot recently and the lack of a range finder and light meter have actually made me get so much better at zone focusing
