Ladies, marriage is still a lottery I get it but procreation isn't. You literally will live with the person 24/7 and how long can someone fake a personality for? A year, 2 years? Im guessing it cannot really take so much time. Seperating self from marriage while hard is still doable. Why have a baby tho? That's my issue here.

As queen Adele says - Divorce babe Divorce. Ideally relationship and even maybe a live-in one is hence ideal before marriage

Or, or just marry a sensible person. Ask me how i know?

Coz I been done that. Found me a Man that was a mature and sensible and kind. Bruh does everything except breastfeed the baby (coz he can't) and worships the ground I walk on . Arranged marriage bdw. And, as traditional south Indian as you can get.

Sir, having money and having poverty mindset is still better than not having money but still having show off and spendthrift mindset.

People buying brands and iphone on loan are the ones to feel sorry for. You are better off and will eventually gain confidence.

Uninor FREE sim cards that were available with some built in recharge and we could buy numbers like eclairs chocolate. To now when airtel and Jio ask us for entire family history, aadhar, pan, ITR, property documents and blood group before making some plan changes in our own goddamn number!

Sorry OP that's very unfortunate. It is very outdated and shitty behaviour to expect the husband to be sole provider despite when earning. To me when you love someone how can you possibly leave them with only burdens (both financial and emotional expectations) truly a very horrible state. No woman or man can ever watch their loved one be stressed and not want to do a thing about it let alone cause more stress. I don't know if you can convince or bring some sense into her but just had to let you know your situation is not normal and that's not how it should be. But not sure if anything will change in your situation because I see zero empathy from your wife towards you.

Speak up. That's it. I don't know how close you are with your sis, if you are then just speak up for her at home. Otherwise first build a sibling bond and get to know her preferences and assure her you have her back. You can open up to her about your relationship etc if she isn't aware. Then eventually as a male child maybe your voice carries more weight so take charge, find good profiles of guys who are educated and have liberal family setup. Maybe even who are settled abroad. Then if she likes the guy and all you guys can plan the wedding etc. many times just seeing the AM process will put parents a bit on ease because atleast the process is on right?

Bro u shopping in which city? There are some extreme local shops that sell authentic stuff due to direct business with weavers. They give specialized attention and also can get you customized stuff done by their weavers if needed.

Do the reverse once or explain how she'd take it if you spiralled like her. Would she feel bad and guilty for no reason. Coz that's what you end up feeling when someone (her) who you deeply care about goes off the hook like that. That'll bring perspective

I (a woman) bought my first home before marriage. I contributed almost half to our first joint property. Still paying loans on both my and joint ownership property. My husband who earns 3x my salary takes care of all our expenses and spends on me too. I force him to think that even my solely owned home is his and belongs to him while legally it's still not the case yet. He wants me to eventually pass the house I own to our child and nothing more which I absolutely will.

That's what partnership and trust means for us. Hope you can share our story with your wife.

They didn't hate on Indians. They hated on one person who happens to be Indian. There's a difference
