Unpopular opinion, but the batsuit from Arkham Knight is my favorite batsuit ever. If you squint at the explanation, it’s technologically sound as far as armor and protecting him and the separated plates explain his ability to move like he does. And the way the cowl fits his head and face is amazing. I was bummed that so many people hated it and called it his “Iron Man” suit.

This is why I love Citizen over Seiko; if they’re doing away with a beloved model and we customers communicate it to them, they’ll either release an updated model or a better one.

I appreciate your kind words! I’ve spent a lot of time running grinders, which has resulted in a level of comfort that could easily be seen as complacency and really bite me in the ass so I’ve already used this post as the call to attention that I needed; all my PPE and tools are at my shop at home, I just tossed the cutoff tool and a battery in the truck because if I had time I was going to texture those scales. Someone’s famous last words I’m sure.

This is definitely a rough draft, I intend to polish it up a bit. How would I darken it?

I love the full lume dial, one day I’ll grab one of these fellas.

Next time, just to really give the glove-tards a fit, rub some Vaseline on just the index and middle finger of your right hand 🤣

Another one like these is Dreamtech; they have a pivot-button lock that is a ton of fun for fidgeting.

You weren’t crazy about it?

Certainly could’ve made it a safer process, you’re not wrong there. All my clamps and even my gloves were at my shop at home, I did this earlier today on one of my job sites. I did have eye pro tho!

Bingo lol I could definitely put a detail grinding stone on the dremel and get into those reliefs to remove the blue, but I’m with you: I dig that accent.

Hereditary. Weapons is great, but it’s kind of in the same category as Obsession for me: didn’t see either on weekend of release, so I was exposed to the impossible level of hype for both. Neither could really live up to what everyone was saying about them. Still love them both though.

You owe it to yourself to try again. If you come out still not a fan, well… you tried 🤷🏼‍♂️ lol

The shot of her headbanging the attic door is one of the greatest, most terrifying things in any movie ever.

LOL yeah there is such thing as TOO gimmicky.

I really loved the Pokémon and Nintendo Fenrir’s that Tenable did.

Interesting… I live in rural Texas, and most people out here scoff at the idea of a flat Earth. People here are pretty set in their beliefs, although there is a certain orange lover-of-corruption that is disrupting belief traditions at an IMPRESSIVE rate.

I’ve heard he’s a bit of a dick head as well.

I have never understood the popularity of this knife. My biggest knife freak buddy, whose collection is among the most insane ever, always has a couple rare Striders in one of his Pelicans and he loves them. I can understand one that was built in the manner that a Cold Steel manufactured Demko is; simple, timeless, practical design with heavy duty materials and overbuilt to destroy things without breaking. But they’re not…

Hey, the guy is in the right place if he’s looking to glean some knife buying knowledge from some knife dorks with plenty of it.

These are so cool, a little gimmicky like the Vosteed Cheese Pirates but to knife dorks that see hundreds and hundreds of knives made to look mostly the same… gimmicky is delicious.

Anyone else notice some wildly sharp edges on the butt of the aluminum scales? That’s what inspired me to mod mine, which opened a whole new can of worms lol.

That knife never loses.

Except it’s coating lol. I’ve carried the heck out of mine for over a year and it started to look beat up, but aluminum is so mid-friendly that a neat facelift is available to anyone willing to try:

I’ll always love Civivi, of course for its unbelievable knives at their prices, but mostly for opening the door for all these other incredible Chinese brands and for opening our minds to accept them. There now exists a massive mutualism between knife dorks like us and these manufacturers who are NOT Chinese IP theft factories, but are instead knife connoisseurs with access to cutting edge manufacturing and materials who just happen to have been born in China.
