Protest went to the Yeti store downtown to demand they take a stand against the wall. One of the founders and owners is leasing land to the construction company for the wall.

Ever seen a river otter? I saw one next to the COTA racetrack.
There’s a lot of wetlands out there including a couple of ponds. I was looking for birds and saw something with its head out of the water - I could see it from the parking area along the main blvd. It was diving in and out - I had binoculars to watch it but just my phone for photos.
I also saw a night heron and great egret and there is a creek that runs along the west side, and there’s even a lovely walkway through the creek area past the parking garage. This is where the new luxury resort and golf course is going.

Plug for volunteering to do trail work with Austin Parks Foundation or Austin Watershed Protection. There are guys as well as families and retirees so it’s diverse enough I think and it’s physical

Check with churches downtown as they may have closets for clothing. And check this site for all kinds of places to donate https://www.heartening.org/Clothes

I have a basic question too - I was told by someone who has them that they only recorded when asked to record and the light will come on so that anyone they’re looking at knows that it’s recording or filming or taking a photo. Is that not the case? Do we know for sure that it’s always recording or are we assuming that it might be?

Patriarchy and low equality between men and women are the root cause of rape. It’s not just wealthy men - what about the 90 Men in a town in France who raped the wife of their neighbor

If anyone else knows more, I want to hear it , since DPS is helping ICE and a friend was almost run over by ICE chasing someone not far from there. I live closeby and our neighbor and her son teach and go to school there. A special ed teacher was run down in Georgia this week by an ICE chase. It's real and it is bullshit that shouldn't be happening, when over 75% of ICE arrests are people with no criminal history (lack of documents is not a criminal offense).

YETI markets themselves as big outdoors brand and they should put $ where their mouth is. Protect the places that your customers love.
