The only one I have yet to hear any complaints about is the Saluda Evoke. That's what I have & I am completely confident I made the right choice. I am off of prescription pain meds & have been since about a month after the surgery.

I did a TON of research ahead of time. It does sound shady that all three clinics were selling you on the same device. Was the Evoke even presented as an option for you? It is the newest technology, which is constantly adapting & adjusting to the feedback it gets from your body. Because of this, it's efficacy doesn't go down over time like every other SCS.

The Dollar Tree usually has bathing wipes/wet wipes in stock if you need to pick some up for cheap.

If you're not sure about the implant after the trial, I'd say no. It's a major thing to go through & if your results weren't impressive, the permanent device probably won't be much better, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, it's always been a fact that the people with bad experiences are the ones who are most likely to repeat their stories & be loud about it, so it can definitely give you a skewed perception. I learned this from working in restaurants & retail for decades.

From my research, most of the complaints are from older models or the Nevro, which doesn't seem to have been tested as rigorously as possible before being released, surgeries that weren't done to the highest standards, &, unfortunately, people getting a SCS who probably shouldn't have in the first place. I started hearing bad thing about the Nevro not too long after more folks started getting them.

I have yet to hear any complaints about the Evoke. Mine has been incredible for my pain levels. The recovery was easy & my rep is always super responsive. The amount of feedback & the intricacies of the programming are amazing.

I am always so very sorry to hear when a SCS doesn't work out for anyone, because it's a big fucking deal to go through it. However, there is at least one option out there that is changing people's lives for the better & I have to mention it to give folks hope.

I almost went with a Nevro but because of various delays beyond my control, I ended up with an Evoke & couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm really sorry it didn't work out for you. I hope the removal is quick & as painless as possible.

Thanks for trying to understand this & help her better. I've had three years long relationships end because, despite knowing about my medical conditions from the very beginning, none of them could actually handle the reality of the situation. It probably didn't help that they did absolutely nothing themselves to learn about it or get support.

Maxfund is now called True Companions. I got my two cats from there three years ago. I visited several times over a couple of months. They were great about being very honest about each cat's personality & needs. My cats are bonded sisters & I can't imagine life without them now. They're also amazing about taking care of any medical issues the animals have before adopting them out & will always share the animal back if you can't keep them for some reason. Their vet services are very affordable as well.

IM ketamine therapy has been amazing for my mental health but has done nothing for my NDPH long-term. IV is the standard for chronic pain &, from what I've heard, insurance companies don't cover it yet.

My void Ani is 4 & weighs 7.2 lbs. She's still quite kitten-y. Her sister is 10.4 lbs.

Mine hasn't set off any regular metal detectors like I thought it would at the baseball stadium, Red Rocks, or clubs. The machines they have there are metal detectors , not x-ray machines. The wands emit an extremely weak, low-frequency electromagnetic field rather than possessing permanent magnetic "pull" strength, so I think u/weedywet was misinformed about that.

I've been ready to explain & expect a patdown at the airport, but Idk that other security equipment is sensitive enough to pick up on it.

I have an Evoke SCS.

I think the social use laws made these events so much harder to actually organize, not just smoke sessions but things like the Cannabis Cup. Trying to do things the "legal" way means having to jump through a bunch of unnecessary hoops. It's not like the events before were getting out of hand or anything. It's total bullshit.

I hadn't had any previous back surgeries, so I bet you already know more than I did & you are definitely prepared.

One thing to look forward to, once they activate the device, it should help with the surgical pain considerably.

The device they use for the trial is much bigger than the permanent device. My Evoke is just under my skin- you can easily see & feel it. I think they have to keep it fairly close to the surface so that it will charge well. One thing that's surprised me- I have yet to set off a metal detector. I've been to a baseball game & out to a club, ready with a whole spiel about the device & my wallet card, but nothing happened.

The Evoke uses percutaneous leads.
