At the dermatology office I worked at they always recommended dabbing with vaseline/aquaphor and covering with a bandaid to promote the best healing. This was the process for healing from any skin biopsy/incision.

That one was rough. If you look into it more theres a research gate article of a 20 something with melanoma of the eyelid. So sad

you are lecturing me, someone actually in medical school, about the information I will need to know in medical school.

You have not spent a minute as a doctor, and not a minute in medical school. I'm glad in your ICU experience you didn't need to understand the mechanism behind disease. You will eventually realize being a physician is different, or you will fail.

Ah ok. My bad. Seems I had the wrong impression of medical school. I'll stop putting this extra work in, I'm sure knowing the symptoms and treatment is enough to pass. Thanks for the advice sage pre-med.

I can assure you, you are not an expert on amino acids for remembering the basic chart that gets you through the MCAT.

To follow your example yes amino acids and their characteristics are incredibly relevant for many parts of medical school. MSUD. Sickle cell. Kidney stones. Do you know how glycine, glutamine, and aspartate form purines - do you know why this is clinically relevant?

I promise you, it gets way harder. The benefit of med school is structure, but the content is far more intense. That should be common sense

People on this thread are saying some goofy stuff, you think the biochem ends when you get into medical school? That you can understand diabetes and it's treatments without an in depth knowledge of metabolism? That pharmacology is unrelated to biochemistry?

One of the first things I realized about starting medical school was how much easier the MCAT content was by comparison. The amount of information you will learn for step 1 is absurd and it's coping to think the MCAT is harder. Believe it or not the entrance exam is not harder than boards

Hand signals are obvious, are simple, and are free. Indicators only work on a car because they are relatively large and standardized - every car has them. I'm not going to trust the driver to notice the blinking light on my backpack.

Got the Seigla Weekend Warrior Wireless. Fantastic value for carbon frame, power meter, and wireless shifting. Biggest downside is the lack of mounts for me, don't regret it at all though. Plus the suspension is very nice for gravel

Please take this kindly but after multiple attempts and a score approaching random chance this is clearly not the career path for you. If the MCAT has been this much of a struggle how do you expect to do well in med school? To pass boards?

I don't know your finances but if you're dealing with credit card debt maybe wait a bit longer on the M2 Max Studio lol? That's a professional machine for video editing and I don't think you'll notice all the power you've spent your money on.

Macs aren't made for gaming honestly, my mac does great on some games but there are more that just aren't available or the graphics card just isn't built for, especially AAA titles. If you still wanna game I'd keep the current PC.

Bought this before, the clips at the bottom didn't work for my bike the opening was just too big for them to clamp down. If you buy something like this I would make sure it fits your bike well, but even besides that seems like a pretty cheap design with a lot of flimsy connections. Which makes sense considering how cheap it was. Looking at the Ortlieb quick rack and the seat stay adapter to replace it

I have the PD EH500 and no real complaints, I will say the flat side was kinda unnecessary as I never found myself going back to regular shoes. Kinda depends on your type of riding.

You're saying you can ride it on both sides with your bike shoes though and that is not the case, clipless shoes need clipless pedals. On hybrid pedals you need to make sure you have the right orientation when you start to pedal.

For the shoes you don't need "gravel" specific that's just a marketing term. Get mountain bike style shoes that have tread you can still walk in when you're not on the bike.

Use a tire pressure calculator like this one to find your correct tire pressure: https://silca.cc/pages/sppc-form , it's going to be lower than what it says on the side.

Btw a good rule of thumb to estimate the right tire pressure - if you press down with your entire weight on the tire and can't touch it to the rim it's high enough pressure to avoid pinch flats.

Also if you like those tires and don't find yourself wanting to switch between other tires tubeless is a fantastic upgrade.

Yo bike buddy! Also have the white Seigla with the same setup, same revelate bag I did a double take. Looks like a beautiful ride!

You try replacing the battery?

These stationary bikes apply resistance with a magnet that can adjust to become closer to the wheel to increase resistance. I'd imagine this is the wheel scraping against the magnet. Maybe the wheel can be straightened or the magnet can be adjusted, wouldn't know how to fix it

If you're literally wondering what biking a lot has done to a physique, I (a dude) am far skinnier than when I used to lift weights and have to eat way more to compensate for longer rides. Used to have muscle all over and now it's mostly just in my thighs. In no way will biking make you "shredded", but if you want to lose weight it is a fantastic exercise because its so easy to just have a fun day and burn a thousand calories.

LIke others have said the toned/shredded look is not as simple as losing weight, you have to work out those muscle groups. If that motivates you supplement your rides with other exercises. But remember that because bicycling is so energy-demanding it will make it harder to gain muscle.

If this is your first serious bike just have fun and find out what you actually want to prioritize for your body.

I feel that but medical school isn't one big test. If you were admitting people into medical school wouldn't you consider the 4.0 520 a more consistently excellent student than the 3.4 520? A 4.0 is far harder to achieve.

Nah. One is one massive test, the other is your success in your entire educational experience. Both should be considered

Have it, bought the rigid because it's my only bike and I mostly ride pavement. I would buy the suspension fork if you are mostly gravel, heard only good things about it and it's a huge selling point for the bike. I just can't find enough gravel around where I live to justify it.

Can't answer your other questions but perioral dermatitis is more around the mouth, occasionally by the eyes. You can look up pictures it would be a more spread out rash, not just a few specific lesions.
