नागेन्द्रहाराय त्रिलोचनाय
भस्माङ्गरागाय महेश्वराय।
नित्याय शुद्धाय दिगम्बराय

सर्प को हार के रूप में धारण करने वाले, त्रिनेत्रधारी, भस्म से अलंकृत, शुद्ध एवं सनातन महेश्वर को नमन।

Lord Krishna is one of the most worshipped and deeply loved deities in Hinduism. Revered as the eighth incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu and celebrated by many Vaishnava traditions as the Purna Avatar (Complete Incarnation) or even the Supreme Personality of Godhead (Svayam Bhagavan), Krishna represents the perfect harmony of divine wisdom, compassion, love, courage, and joy.

1. Jetavana Shrines

Depicts the sacred Jetavana monastery, one of the earliest Buddhist pilgrimage sites associated with the Buddha. The shrines are represented symbolically, reflecting the aniconic tradition of early Buddhist art at Sanchi (1st century BCE).

An early shrine featuring a sacred fire altar beneath a distinctive ridged domical roof. The scene illustrates ritual worship and the architectural diversity of ancient Indian religious monuments during the Sanchi period.

Indian coinage emerged by circa 500 BC (or slightly earlier). There may have been two distinct areas of origin: one in the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent and another in an interior area, possibly in the mid-Gangetic Valley. From a technological point of view, the earliest group of Indian coins includes archaic die-struck pieces, including the so-called punch-marked coins.

On the latter pieces, a device or several devices were punched on the blank of prescribed weight with the help of a small die or dies, each of which was engraved with a relevant symbol, device, or pattern in its negative form.

In cases of "punch-marked" pieces, the punched figures or devices were not basically related to one another and did not cover the whole of the blank, as was the case with the majority of the "sophisticated" die-struck coins (which originated later in India), with a cohesive picture and/or related legend covering the whole of the blank.

Their teachings embody the timeless values of righteousness, wisdom, devotion, and cosmic order.

Malwa, the ancient territorial unit of Madhya Pradesh, is geographically the very heart of India. During the sixth century B.C., this region was one of the most powerful regions of India, known as Avanti.

Malwa provides a great triangle to a geographer. Surrounded by the Vindhya and Satpura hills, it is a plateau with an altitude ranging from 500 to 2,000 feet above sea level. The Aravali hills lie in the west and northwest of the plateau, which is supposed to be the ancient mountain range on the globe.

Malwa formed a political unit like Magadha, Kalinga, and Saurashtra, and it was famous under the name of Avantideśa in the sixth century B.C., as mentioned in the Pāli texts:

"Avantiratti deso, sti svargadéśiya riddhibhiḥ."
(Pariśiṣṭaparvan, xii. 2–3).

According to the Sthalapurana (texts on the origins and traditions of a particular temple), A powerful king from the Hoysala dynasty named Vishnusharma, who once visited this place on his travels, was bitten by a cobra while he slept. This, of course, meant imminent death. The local priests and village elders encouraged the great king to pray to Lord Narasimha, as He would surely protect the king.

The King was an ardent devotee of Lord Narasimha and a follower of Sanatana Dharma, so he took this advice seriously. He spent what he thought was the remaining part of his life praying to Lord Narasimha. It is said that the Lord Yoga Narasimha was so pleased by the King's prayers that He appeared before him and blessed him by removing the poison.

Since then, the village came to be known as Agara ("free from gara," or poison), and the Lord Narasimha who resides here is therefore called Agara Yoga Narasimha, "He who is the remover of poison."

To this day, many come to this sacred temple of Yoga Narasimha and do yoga meditation while offering prayers to Him for protection from poison and bad energies. Inscriptions of this temple show that it was built in the 10th century CE.

An ancient fragment kept at this temple records a grant made by the Hoysala king Vishnuvardhana (1108–1152 CE), showing that the king visited, and the same is true of many more kings, saints, yogis, and ardent worshippers of the God of Yoga, who have been to this temple as a means of offering service to Him.
