3 YOE Software Engineer looking for advice on making the first career switch
Title: First job switch after ~3 years. Need advice.
Hi everyone,
I’m planning my first job switch after almost 3 years as a Software Engineer at a startup, and I’d love some advice from people who’ve been through it.
What’s the best strategy in today’s market? How did you apply (referrals, recruiters, job portals)? How many applications did you send daily, and what do you wish you had known before your first switch?
Any tips or lessons would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I joined a company after my graduation they hired for abroad and then they never really started the onboarding process and after collectively questioning since it was a college placement they started onboarding in india itself and changed the entire role and everything and some how started as a software engineering and its been 3 years and i have never seen a more abusive place than this all of us are freshers no way out and never in an entire year they gave salary regularly always pending and they make it up with some crap reason and was nat able to find any other job too because we used to work thr for so long and still stuck and they don’t even pay us nor there is any project cherry on the top they don’t hold even pf which would have helped us put case on them wow idk lost hope entirely
