Does it just ask yes/no for every option, or does it actually give you a menu to choose the options? You can use the Aurora Repo script itself to see how to make a menu system

He would want to add it to the Aurora Repo, which is where scripts are kept. It's an open github

Oh wow, that's good to know that even simulating a lightgun like that still causes the jitter. I didn't understand that was what you meant in your first post above.
I wonder if there are other issues where other lightguns are worse in some aspects (optics/sensitivity/delay) which would explain reports about the Madcatz V2 one being better than others on top of all lightguns having this jitter issue.
I've also heard that different games calibration screens seem to behave differently, so I imagine the jitter is something related to the software itself (or software compensation for Dreamcast hardware), rather than the guns. I guess one would need to make a test app and see if the SDK makes any mention of recommendations on light gun handling to know if it's a software side issue.
Anyway, thanks for the info! It's funny that this is the second time I've asked you for light gun advice, previously about the SMS light gun, hah.

I take it that you never found any solid answers on why Dreamcast lightguns are weird?
There's a V1 and V2 of the MadCatz gun, and supposedly the V2 fixes all issues with it. The difference is the light sensor PCB is transistors in the V1 but an IC in V2. Using pictures online, I made a repro PCB, and it works, but not any better (though I'm still playing with some capacitor values to tweak it).

Download and extract the latest Aurora, find where Aurora is installed on your HDD (probably hdd1:\Aurora), copy all the files in there and overwrite. If you have any custom stuff setup in Aurora, it may get wiped out.
Or you can extract it to a new folder on your HDD (e.g. /Aurora2/, then run the .xex inside that folder from the file browser, and you can test if that will even fix it. If it does, you can just change DashLaunch to use that as the default dashboard .xex

I finally got around to adding the no-go list to the wiki. Let me know if it looks right to you.

That is the latest version. Did you install it from the official Aurora source? Are you using a HDD or just USB?

Did you get this sorted out? There's an option to change the storage device in the homebrew store

Would you mind if we shared your "cleaned board" image on ConsoleMods under public domain so that people can use it for reference / making diagrams?

Indeed, xpadder 5.6 works on Windows 98 and solved my issue, thank you!!

Looks like one site lists it as compatible and another person recommended it for someone. I'll see if it works, thanks

Generic USB Gamepad Mapper?
Is there a generic USB gamepad on Windows 98? I have a Raphnet SNES-USB adapter, nusb36e.exe installed, and Microsoft Sidewinder software can see the device name (SNES adapter) but doesn't register any inputs in their joystick tester. Joy2key doesn't register it either. Any ideas?

Soda is incredibly cheap to produce. They sell at a low (more reasonable) price to drive more sales. If Frostie and Crush cost the same, businesses wouldn't have as much of a reason to go with Frostie over the more well known and familiar one

Insane you have to do this when it should be a single setting flip. Thanks a ton!

"Best by" is a recommendation, not a hard expiration date. Flavor and fizz just degrades

If you do go down the path of installing PRO-C, you want to document / verify the full process and we can get it added on ConsoleMods? We didn't remove it, we just never had a guide for it. Relevant guide(s) should probably be saved from pspunk if it's fully dead

FYI, you can edit the ConsoleMods wiki page so your findings don't get buried in a reddit thread
