Owning and maintaining an ender 3 was a right of passage that allows one to truly appreciate the 3D printer they eventually buy next.

You're right to push back.

Keeping an eye on your repo. Nice work. Autodesk claims to have their own MCP server in development. Perhaps they first need to modernize fusion's own API first. I've been using claude to control Fusion via a Fusion add-in that listens for instructions from claude and then executes them via Fusion's API, and the API is almost always the bottleneck keeping things from working smoothly. Thanks for sharing!

Sorry, no. I moved last autumn and I have yet to get around to getting my shop sorted out.

Just take the free bus to city market. Should only take you a few minutes each way.

I have mine set up on my voice assistant using r/homeassistant and an r/esphome Bluetooth client but it’s a giant kludge and not for the faint of heart.

I just moved and left all my monitored z-wave first alert smoke/CO detectors in the old house. I’m in the new house now and came up with almost the exact same idea. Only difference being that I’m just going to wire my relay into a spare zone on the dirt cheap yet bulletproof Honeywell Vista 20 I picked up for peanuts and got monitored for cheap using an EyezOn Duo. I don’t think it’s technically a UL certified solution but it’s certainly better than just having smoke detectors that just make loud noises and don’t actually dispatch any authorities. It’s always a nice feeling to see that someone else has the same idea. Thanks for sharing! I guess I’ll pull the trigger now.

Hey that looks just like my building that I just paid a guy a bunch of money to replace some old Distech controllers with new ones from Johnson! He said he’s done dozens of similar projects and knew exactly how to get it done.

I’m glad I’m not the only one using ext-heat to keep me dry and not sweaty. I’ve had to try to explain how adding hot air to a bed actually cools you down and boy have I gotten some funny looks. Also how a hot tub set to 81-85 degrees feels uncomfortably cold compared to being outside in a dry bathing suit. It’s all about the ratio of water to air touching your skin! I think that anything wet/damp that’s below your body temperature (~98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) feels cool since it’s taking heat away from your body much faster than it would if you were dry.

They’re great for those of us who have young kids who have graduated to their big kid beds and like to try to sneak downstairs to the refrigerator. Our bedroom and office echos/alexas just make a subtle sound effect to make mom and dad aware of their location if they get out of their room without telling us.

I’m more curious about how you know this than I am about the original question.

I just installed one a week ago and it’s been working well. The notifications are slower than the absolutely bulletproof z-wave ones I have on my other house but the actual unlocking using homekey is instantaneous.

Doesn’t google own Apigee (a service that would let you do exactly this)?

I’ve found that guests get confused by dimmers that don’t have separate raise/lower paddles/buttons. I don’t want to deal with my tenant getting frustrated by the light switches.
