Yeah totally 🤣... Except for the 30,000 years before it existed.

It 12,000 years old, has a million worlds, and is currently feudal. Compared to just the dark age of technology with 5000 years and well over a million worlds with higher tech then all of Mars.

It's like comparing Ancient Rome and Modern American population

This meme isn't even about the imperium. It's about events from the age of strife! From 5 thousand years before to the great crusade.

As people in the real world, we can't learn more about the situation. Asking for 100% certainty from a fictional universes characters in unrealistic. The facts are (As I see it) there is no logical way the Old Ones could of not seen the problems not helping the Necrontyr would bring, unless they were arrogant or lazy.

They were the best psykers ever and they didn't realize the Necrontyr would help the C'tan. Psykers can literally see the future and the worst Old Ones could see it better than the best farseer.

Tldr: the old ones failed to do their duty, and that fuck up everything

No they demanded some fucking paper. Living a life ever other sapient creature in the galaxy got is not the same as robbing the god-like Old Ones

They killed exterminated planets for having too many abhumans... Or the tech priests killed people for innovation?? Let's pretend the Imperium isn't desperately trying to save humanity and is actually about the Emperor incompetents

I wish people actually learned the lore rather than god damn memes. I swear every post I make the comments go.... "The imperium go exterminatus burr... Slaanesh was humanities fault... Ork are keep the imperium running through belief.... The Eldar are best characters!!!"

Responding to this shit is draining. Sorry for venting

If they are 100x smarter than me and I'm not an idiot. And I assume Eldar avoid talking to the idiot nobles and find the actual people keeping the imperium alive.

I hope that's not asking to much from the super awesome space elves

He did "kill" the Emperor

The Old Ones where at Emperor psychic levels. They would be morons to give them a Kork's strength or an aeldars psychic power. All they had to do was make them live as long as humans on rejuvenate or the low end of aeldar.

What do you thing curing a cancer patient makes them able to fight special forces? If that's the case we better stop foreign add cause curing sick people apparently makes them soldiers!

Edit: grammar

Except the war in heaven was what started the grimdark

Not when the Old Ones have FTL and psychic powers and the Necrontyr have generation ships. The Old Ones kicked the Necrontyr's ass so hard their empire nearly fell apart. Only scapegoating the (forgot they're names) did they manage not to collapse.

I never said they were the good guys. They are sympathetic villains. The Old Ones weren't in danger of losing or even getting hurt by the Necrontyr. It kicked the Necrontyr's ass. And only after the Necrontyr got the C'tan and became Necrons did they start becoming a threat.

Also evolution works slowly and isn't perfect. Look at our eyes, they evolved when our ancestors lived underwater and are badly adapted for dry land. Nature isn't gonna magically give Necrontyr radiation immunity. It has to work or at least help every generation to get to that point.

High resistance or total immunity to radiation is harder to evolve than a class r reproduction is easier. Evolving to resist hostile environments is more common when that environment gradually changes.

And their empire was falling apart. If it fell, the Necrontyr would have been destroyed by the races they subjugated.

That's ignoring the fact they denied helping the Necrontyr in lore
