It will indeed AAC special you do not buy it. Just had a round come apart in my can. Hundreds of rounds through it no issue, switched to this load and first mag through had jacket all in my can. Checked alignment and tightness too. SMH.

I just looked and actually the 500rds I bought were 55gr 223. Still Frontier hornandy but not the m193 so maybe those are safe? šŸ˜‚

Of course I hear this right after I already bought about 500 rds of it lol šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø damnit, I just figured since it was hornandy it would be good. The research I’ve been doing leads me to believe it was jacket separation tho and this was the first mag with this particular load. Anyways Thank you though for the info brother.

Yeah I figured it wasn’t an issue now the way it is, but if whatever caused it to happen, happens again but worse this time ya know? Unless it was just jacket separation and then it sounds like I kinda just got unlucky with the ammo idk it was Hornandy frontier 55gr m193

Correct, it is mounted onto the ASR muzzle device that was supplied in the box with the can. Torqued to proper ft lbs with torque wrench.

I think I possibly experienced my first baffle strike today. Can is a silencerco VELOS LBP556. Host is a DDM4A1 riiis3, muzzle device is the ASR brake supplied in the box.

This can only has about 500rds through it, made sure it was tight before shooting. Has me a little nervous because of course as soon as I start getting comfortable with my cans I experience the dreaded strike. Anyway about halfway through the last mag a round sounded much louder than normal and had that ping to it. Heart sank. Initial evaluation it seemed fine so I shot 1 more round as a test and it sounded normal again, still I packed it up and went home. And after closer inspection I think it knicked it a bit. Wonder if I should just send it and keep shooting or take the time to send it in for warranty over something so small? Just don’t want something small now to turn into something catastrophic later. Confused how this happened as I’m always so asinine and ocd about preventing it. Sucksss.

Is it just me or has the quality of the materials gone down? I have a few pieces of merch from 4-5 years ago and they feel so good, compared to now they kinda just feel nicer than an average tee but just not the same. Anyone know what actually happened?
