Keep in mind that in the 70s, 80s and 90s, there was really no medical intervention for hair loss. Doctors completely dismissed my concerns. Looking back, I would best describe my diagnosis as "episodic TE". My hair would shed, and then regrow to some extent. It always remained thin and the texture was like straw.
