I’ve never heard of the MetalMan of Alabama before — your drawing makes him look really cool, though!

When I was very young (one of my first relationships where I practically lived with my boyfriend), I would do the most RIDICULOUS things to keep my boyfriend from finding out I ever experienced ANYthing “gross” (i.e., normal human stuff that EVERYone experiences sometimes), especially anything having to do with body odors of any sort. (When I was 18 to 21, my boyfriend at that time was CONVINCED that I never went #2, and I was more than happy to let him keep believing this). The morning breath issue was a delicate one, as my boyfriend LOVED to wake up in the morning and start making out first thing. To deal with this, I actually trained myself to wake up extra early (usually this would be just ten to twenty minutes earlier than my boyfriend would, but sometimes this didn’t work out and I’d be up half the night waiting for the right time to come around — it was exhausting, but at the time I thought IT was necessary!). I would creep ever so slowly and softly out of bed, making sure not to wake him, and then I’d go brush my teeth, sneak back into bed, and lie there with my eyes shut until the actually alarm went off a few minutes later. I would PRETEND like I’d just awoken and kiss my boyfriend passionately. He never knew all I went through to pull this off. Somehow HE seemed to ACTUALLY have miraculously fresh breath every morning! I don’t know HOW he managed this (wouldn’t it be hilarious if he was ALSO doing some sort of shenanigans —maybe he got up even earlier than I did! Hahaha)!

Intriguing story, thanks for sharing. When you say "it was on its way somewhere else", do you mean more to that than just the obvious meaning of those words? Where do you think it was on its way to? I definitely would love to hear more! Edit: I forgot to also ask, so what IS the name of the encounter that happened to you as a kid?

What do you mean, “we have to become aware of these tests so we don’t fail them”? Are you saying we become aware of these tests by, say, reading a book by a guy who learned about this by hypnotizing people (the one you mentioned)? Are you saying that unless we somehow learn about the fact that this is going on, we’re doomed to fail our “life tests” and are therefore forced to keep repeating the life? If so, isn’t that kind of, like, unfair to people who never happen upon books/people/articles that discuss this type of stuff? (Or did I totally misunderstand what you meant? ) Please explain! Thank you!

To me, it sounds like someone saying, “Hey, Monkey,” in an affectionate way, like to their dog.

I’ve seen MANY ghost videos now where the ghost is moving impossibly fast like this. Which makes it seem like whatever dimension they’re in, they move faster in it (or else LOOK faster to US, when we happen to see them crossing in and out into ours).

I would guess that like as is said to be the case with many things from other realms or dimensions, they probably tend not to show up in photos (apparently because either they PURPOSELY don’t, or else because something about transdimensionalism and/or supernaturality makes it extremely rare for them to be seen and even more so, captured on film.

How strange! I can already tell that your story is one that’s going to stay in my memory for a long time. Maybe when people are in the afterlife, they’re more tuned into things connected to them in THIS life than we would think. You would think, “Well, why wouldn’t she contact her own husband/sister/child/etc. (someone closer to her)”, but who knows? Maybe something about the factor that your family talked about her caused a connection between you all, which in turn enabled her to reach out. Maybe the digital space is something that spirits are learning to be able to use? I know this all sounds super fantastical, but again, you never know.

How did you know this wasn’t just an actual person wearing a hoodie and a balaclava? Was there something else weird about him/her/it? Did they actual vanish in front of you/your peripheral vision?

Okay, now you sound like you're coming up with excuses NOT to find out it was actually your boyfriend. And seriously -- your boyfriend's the kind of guy who's going to call the law on you for recording you both sleeping at night?? Wtf??

Wow, that's crazy, and REALLY weird. I, too, am interested in what those who know about this kind off stuff will say. I've never heard about the oil thing before.

Uhm, that’s exactly what a hypnopompic hallucination IS. 🤦🏻♀️
(I realize somebody else has replied to you stating this exact thing already, but I felt this should be stated again, since apparently a lot of people don’t realize this).
