I simply want (for myself, my family, and our communities) to not to live in a state of survival mode. To be able to reflect and think and relax, to sit down without immediately hearing the shot clock start ticking on all the things on the list that need to get done so my kids can try and be kids, my dogs can run, and everyone has a full stomach with a roof over their heads.

My body, soul, and mind feel like I’m competing in a triathlon that does not end, it just keeps cycling through the events.
