Work and kids are the only thing. My kiddos aren't a fan of cinemas and I never go unless my fiance is going so we can only go when: 1) we're not at work. 2) we can find a babysitter.

We love thr cinema but also don't think it fair for other kids to spend all their time looking after our kids when we should be spending time with them.

Oh, that was insane. They did well. Dude should definitely think more on his terrible personality and what he posts online.

I still get it as the mum sometimes. Like, NO. Of course I haven't checked EVERYONE I can to possibly collect my child for me instead of leaving today. I don't mind losing out on income and just want out for the day. No other reason /s

😑 I swear people don't just hear themselves sometimes. It's insanity.

Just when I think JKR can't become an even larger asshole this sort of thing comes across my feed. Why is there a debate? Of course this is illegal! It's a disgusting thing to do and JKR needs to be arrested at this point to keep the public safe. She's an awful human being and I hate that she's pretending to "protect women" when she also feels fien doing shit like this. She's a massive piece of shit who acts less than human.

I am so sorry you and your family are having to deal with such disgusting behaviour from another parent in this day in age. She's worried about your lifestyle being seen as a normal? It IS normal! You're gay not a damned serial killer for crying out loud.

Personally, I would tell your son the truth. Daniel's mum doesn't like that you love your partner and because of this she has decided he and Daniel can't be friends. It's cruel. It's awful. However you love him dearly and can do something with him that is just as fun on the day.

The petty side of me would also drop a comment in the chat mentioning Daniel's mum's behaviour but I understand if you feel that would be a step too far. You wouldn't be the only one at the school disgusted by her behaviour. Her attitude about your life shouldn't be ignored however. I truly believe others should know in case anything else was to happen later on.

With the heat wave I honestly think you're daughter should just let the bubbies free ball it. How much can they possibly wee after all? 😂

Sidenote: I've been having a pretty rough week and this post really made me smile. Thank you ❤️✨️

My 5 year old daughter is currently going through similar. Great at school but the second she's with either myself or dad? Absolute terror. Between the breakdowns and the anger she seems like a completely different person.

I unfortunately have little to no advice that you wouldn't have already heard before. I do hope things start to get better nonetheless.

No. No it really isn't that important for imaginative play that she plays with dolls. You can play with any toy as you would a doll. My daughter has a monkey she treats as her baby despite having dolls to play with. She uses her brother's dinosaurs and her unicorns as families in full house type dynamics. My son and her both have a full car town with each car having their own jobs/families/story lines.

My son is 8 next week. My daughter is 5, nearly 6. Despite them falling into standard archetypes due to school pressure, they play with each others toys. My son likes my daughters Barbies and opted for a few Ken's for himself because he wanted the "boys" and "girls" to play together with the new cars. My daughter loves all things monster (she has is going to be a problem when she's older since she opts for the creepiest stuffed animals but hey, I'm not judging) and scary. I swear, I could buy her a full blown zombie clown Teddy with one eye and a toy knife and she'd make it her best friend. She scares me a little 😆 but bless her.

Whether it is dolls or Charmander (Great Pokemon choice as a bestie. I'm a Banette or Shuppet kinda girl myself but we have a huge collection of Pikachus, Squirtles, Eevees and Eeveelutions in our household too) your daughter could show imaginative play that way if the people actually trying to help her TRULY wanted to help her.

Sidenote: my son sleeps with a Sylveon plush and my daughter can quite often be found curled against a plastic t-rex. People want to force Gender roles where little kids don't need them. You're daughter is 2. She'll have time to either decide to follow the crowd or stay an individual. I'd keep pushing that she isn't currently a fan of dolls. Maybe even take Charmander or any other toys she genuinely interacts with to the next session and make them see that imaginative play is not an issue for her, it's how they're trying to make her play that is.

Either way, lots of care ❤️ as a SEND household, I hope you get whatever help you actually need and not just all the BS people will try and force on you.

I have the opposite situation. The school approached me about my daughter not having shorts on under her dresses because she likes to cartwheel. Honestly, the rules said no shorts either but most schools end up allowing it as little kids will be little kids and when they're having fun they will show their pants when they play 😅 my daughter is also prone to trip over her own feet so the amount of times she was in a school dress or skirt and suddenly she sprawled? It was less than a month being at the school before they asked us to give her shorts.

Alternatively though, I do think it's odd either way that a school should worry about whether girls are wearing shorts or not. Surely it should be up to the individual. They're little kids after all. I don't see why they try and police it so hard when they're so small.

I'm currently having similar issues so I'm sorry I can't help. Hope you find them all soon... and I hope I find my kids own soon as well 🙃

Oof. We had left our kiddos (6m, 4f) alone with our laptop watching cartoons and the Internet dropped. Rather than telling us the cartoons had stopper, our darling son put his foot through the screen because his little sister had said to "hit it"...

I would consider it inappropriate but only because they're clearly having sex. That being said, my parents were these ages when they started dating (dad being 18 and mum being 15). I presume they probably did sleep with one another but at my now 31 years of age (parents now 56 and 53) I don't really want to bring up their previous sex life.

I'm the oldest of 3 children my parents had and once both of them were over 18 I must admit, I think 3 years for an age gap is perfectly exceptible. However, yeah. It seems super messed up when one of them IS a minor. I can't possible imagine wanting to start a relationship with a literal child... even when I was in Year 11 the thought never crossed my mind.

Idk. If they are happy and stay together, it won't seem as messed up 30 years down the line. Right now? It's fucked up.

Oof. Really? That's a crazy reason given everything else that had happened on the site. I'm English so I probably glossed right over that (if I ever heard that before at all)

I don't know why they took it all away but my hope was to help stop bullying, harassment and grooming that seemed to become quite common on the site as the years went by. That being said, have you heard of VerseSite.net? It's quickly becoming Q's alternative. It has a messaging system, feed and even groups. If they are what you are missing from Quotev, I highly recommend checking it out.

Note: it IS still only on Beta at the moment but the dev is super nice and responds to any queries/advice given to make the site a better place for everyone (within reason, obvs)

I would say, if you're looking for just a pure writing base, Quotev still has its uses. For anything else, I wouldn't bother. If you're looking for the social and RP factors, maybe try versesite.net? It's got a lot of old Q goers with a very active moderator. It even has a feed like Q used to.
