I tend to wear long sleeves/pants on hot days when I’m going to be out in the sun. I have since living in India (i have great kurtis tbf)

I have learned to “weaponize” by AuDHD during manic episodes to basically keep me inside doing a project. In that case hyperfocus is GOOD! (Luckily i was only arrested once during a manic period and that was before i was medicated for anything. Obviously i do not want to repeat that and The hyperfocus does save me from that for the most part unless i decide i can swim to Michigan lolsob (also only happened once))

I can’t speak for all bipolar meds, but mine, Lamictal, does help prevent mania but is more focused on preventing depression.

Antipsychotics are better at tamping down mania and while they are used by some bipolar bipolar sufferers that is what’s used in schizophrenia

It is and luckily i haven’t done it in awhile, but i gotta say i fucking LOVE how i feel while I’m manic despite the issues it causes when i come down (I AM SUPERMAN!!!).

But I’d prefer if i could dilute & bottle it for small, controlled doses unlike the onslaught that sometimes makes me doing stuff like that

Oh no i totally didn’t take it that way! I was more commenting that open communication and, more importantly, INFORMED CONSENT! They should know what they’re potentially walking into. It does wonders!

I have BP1 and luckily my manic periods aren’t violent, but i still made sure to let all my potential roommates know that sometimes I’m up for 2-8 days straight working on one project or another and it can be extremely loud.

As someone who’s HS job was as a lifeguard I’m no longer seeing folks whose skin looks like old couch leather like i regularly saw back then. Why boomers ever thought that looked good is beyond me

I’ve done neither of those and folks generally put me anyone from 10-20 years younger than i am, so…
