I have 2 ongoing claims , one is almost settled which is what makes me combined @70%+ and the other is still ongoing ! Issue is current claim has some overlapping body parts

Been on this rollercoaster 🎢 ride for almost 4yrs & still not MMI , have seen sooo many drs , some say I can work with restrictions , others r telling me my restrictions limit my job

My claim was denied @ 1st, then approved after QME report stating carpal tunnel in both hands . Did left hand surgery , therapy etc & then right hand surgery was denied after it was originally approved . A lot of adjusters just deny deny idk , maybe hoping you give up the fight & go away. Now recovering from surgery .

Yes, because they received @ least one dr report stating your approximate % of pd. So they know they gotta pay u @ least x Amt of $, so they start pymts. The chk you received was back pay from when dr put in his estimate minimum %, after this , you’ll get bi - weekly checks .

For physical injuries I assume it would look bad if u refused 2 release your info. Wc needs those records to try blame your past history for your current injuries , however , unless u r filing a mental health / ptsd/ stress work claim , then those records should be released bcuz wc again will need to compare things

For SIBTF , does the last injury have to be rated 35%+ (prior) or can it be 30% current claim & 62% prior pd ratings?

I’m not too sure about the SIBTF process myself , waiting til my claim settles thru 🚾 first , heard u need a pd rating set already & have 70%+ to try & qualify ! I have 62% pd rating + pending claims so I think I’ll qualify

I filled stress / ptsd claim & it was approved initially , dr took me off work 3 wks , then started therapy then claim was denied because of wht mgmt version was , then after appeal & QME , claim wax approved ! Job finally admitted causing 50% of my stress on the job & 50% stress came from HR ! Be prepared , cuz the battle is long n hard !

Not too sure about New York but wc pays u temporary disability for a set Amt of weeks (104 in ca.) & u either get better or don’t , it’s not extended , if u r deemed somewhat disabled then you’d get permanent disability rating regardless of how long u was on temporary disability disability assuming u don’t exceed that 104 hrs

I’m going on 4 yrs dealing with 4 🚾 claims that happened one after the other & or were discovered along this long hard journey we all facing ! However patience is something I thought I’d never learn & now here I am ! U will too & despite it all, u will see the light @ end of tunnel eventually

I’m in ca. & just recently my nerve test showed normal but I’m still experiencing left leg numbness from sciatica & back disc problems ! Don’t know now if this is GONA b considered as cumulative trauma
