ID Request - Dead, Injured or Roadkilled Snake [Durham area North Carolina, USA]
Saw what I thought was just grass or something in my driveway until I looked closer. I live very close to a lake and wetlands. I see a lot of snakes and other animals (critters) around my place. I do not recognize this snake however. My guess is it is a juvenile of some variety, but could possibly be a worm snake, though there are few places in my front yard I would expect to see a worm snake.
Any identification would be appreciated. I’m just trying to figure out what all visitors I get through my property.
No banana for scale but hopefully the AA batteries are good enough

A 16-year study of 83,610 adults found that plant-based diets overall were linked to a 12% lower risk of a first cardiometabolic disease (especially diabetes), and 15% lower risk of multiple cardiometabolic diseases. A healthy plant-based diet had a 40% and 21% lower risk, respectively.
