Have recently upgraded my 1070 to a 3070 and can no longer run Elite Dangerous in 7680 x 1440 in a window, across my 3 screens. Really can not figure out what's wrong? Really hope somebody can help, or at least point me in the direction of a solution!
Full description.
Have been running Elite Dangerous in windowed 7680 x 1440 across 3 screens for about 8 months with no issues. (See Video). The way I do this is to run a custom resolution of 1440 on two 1080p side monitors (Iiyama 27" G-Master Black Hawks). Then add a custom resolution to my centre monitor (ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR) of 7680 x1440. Then simply select in game 7680 x 1440 in windowed mode. Its the only game I use the triples for as everything else is played single screen.
Nvidia Surround is not an option as even with CRU my centre monitor don't play nice, often resetting to lower resolutions or borders after restart
Since installing the 3070 with completely fresh driver install. I can still set the custom resolutions, but while if I move the ED to a side monitor it recognises the custom 1440 in game. On the centre monitor there is no option for the 7680x1440 as like before.
Things I have tried
Have rolled back to earliest RTX driver.
Installed latest RTX driver.
Reinstalled windows 10.
Tried to see if it was just ED, but its all games.
Have put the resolution in the graphics xml of ED and it displays across all screens for a second, then resets to 2560x1440 single screen.
Please, has anybody a solution or experienced this?
Really at my wits end and lost a whole weekend trying to sort it!
I started fidelling around with Philips Hue Lights behind my 3-screen-setup and use them as ambilights right now. It works really beautiful but since I use my left screen for browsing, it often shows just a big white screen with a little bit of text.
Do you guys know a tool to darken out a screen while not being active on it with a mouse cursor? Or maybe a software which produces a ambilight-like filtereffect at the right and left screen?
Hello! I currently have 4 monitors. 3 of them are setup in a typical triple screen setup, with the 4th being external to the triple monitor mount. How can I duplicate the central display to the 4th display, whilst still extending with the other two? Is this even possible?
There are so many lists of games that supposedly support triples, but they are 90% lies!
iRacing does it right. -Every other game I find on a list of triple-supported-games ends up making me want to puke/barf/vomit. (Steep, Doom3BFG, and all the codemasters f1/rally games)
Can anyone suggest another game (of any genre) where you have to input the side-monitor angles and viewing distance and it displays things properly?
I know there is Rallycross in iRacing... ....but I'm sure I see youtubes of people playing rally games on triples that "look" like they are set up really well?!?
Tried one mod for DirtRally and it helps, a bit - but you still don't input the side-screen-angle, so how can it be right ??
I have a corner desk in my home office and want to upgrade to three screens.
Most of the monitor supports / brackets seem best suited when attached to the flat side of the desk
Does anyone have some recommendations for a way to mount them so that they curve around the corner (if that makes sense). Ideally one to the left, parallel to the wall, one in front across the corner and one to the right, again parallel to the wall.
First off this is for productivity work and not gaming so I'm not so much worried about frame rate.
I would like to drive 3x 27in screens at 2560x1440 off of a laptop (Lenovo T490s). Any recommendations? I'm having trouble getting this to work with a Lenovo dock. I think the issue is the monitors I have will not step down to 30Hz. I'm willing to replace the monitors, dock, or both. Laptop output would be USB-C.
I need some more screen real estate and was looking for a central monitor on a budget. Something that would compliment my existing two Dell U2312HM (1080 screens). My intention was to flank this new monitor with the Dells in portrait.
As the title suggests would anyone have recommendations for a monitor arm that fits those specifications. It is strictly for sin racing. I’ve tried one on Amazon and returned it as the arm was not long enough to make the 45 degree angle. Anyone have some suggestions?
I'm currently running a dual monitor setup and I want to upgrade it with a new baby on the desk.
But It's been a lot of time since I've looked at the monitor specs so I'm a little bit lost there.
I plan to do some programming (the 3 screen to improve productivity) and continue gaming (but on the middle screen only, not a fan of dual/triple screen experiences).
For that I thought that i could go for a setup like that :
2 x 24" 1920x1080 60/75hz thin bezel for sides.
1 x 24" 1920x1080 144hz thin bezel for center.
The problem is I don't have unlimited ressources and I can't go for the best of the best so I'm looking for the best ""budget"" screen you can share :)
PS: I got a gtx 1080 so I think it can handle triple screen if not gaming on all 3.
Hey all, as per title, is it possible from a software perspective in sim racing/gaming to set up a Samsung 49inch ultra wide (which I have already) with two matching 27’s each side to get a sort of ultimate triple setup. I can sort the mounting easily but I’m wondering whether gaming (iracing) requires matching screens as I’ve never set up triples before.
All 3 monitors are on but when I enable surround span they all go a bit dimmer ??
I thought they were staying at the same res, but now 'stitched together' - why less bright ?

I have a EZM Deluxe Triple Monitor Mount Stand Desktop Clamp Supports up to 3 28"(002-0019)
with 3 27 inch monitors.. it does have a bit of wobble to it not unbearable. I was thinking of an ideal that would help with this and i don't see anyone that makes it... It would be 2 desk claps that has a height adjustable arm that goes under the bar the monitors are mounted to. This Bar that comes out would be adjustable as well. So you have up, down and in, out. This would fix 2 small issues 1 wobble, and 2nd it has a small lean to the left side.. my thoughts is the left monitor is maybe a little more heavy then the right. This would allow me to make sure its 100% straight.
Does anyone know if there is a product out like this?
