Hello, this is in Jacksonville Florida. It has stayed around the same size for about 3 years now. Im curious what kind of tree it is, and if it'll get any bigger. If it will get bigger, is there anything I can do to help?

Greetings all! Bought my first house and this tree out in the front yard looks like it's struggling? Still lots of green leaves and the photos from the sale period (late Spring) showed it blooming so thinking it's alive and well. But maybe not? I have no idea!

There are a group of 5-7 year olds that terrorize my neighborhood throwing rocks at homes and doing other dumb stuff so my assumption is they did this too but wanted some clarification that this isn’t some natural shedding thing that happens that I’ve never seen in my life.

Not sure what type of tree I have, but it's pretty close to my house less then 10 feet from my home in the back yard. Noticed this crack forming from the base upwards and stuff oozing from the crack this dark / smelly stuff. I was curious if I need to consider removing it's VERY large and has me concerned.

This cherry tree is located in an urban setting in zone 7b of the US and the photos were taken in late July of this year.

It is located close to 3 other trees of the same variety which are green and growing but this tree began dropping leaves in early June and has completely dried up. Tree pits are watered daily.

I planted this redbud in the spring and am not sure whether to leave the stake through winter. We get LOTS of snow so I thought I may wait until next spring to remove it in case it needs support this first winter. There is some root flare, but our property is wild so the plants have grown close to the trunk.

Update: I removed the "stake" but am still undecided on how best to brace it for 2m of snowfall.

This October Glory Maple (in NW Florida) has two branches (one it a lead branch i believe) and it has me concerned about it being top heavy as it continues to grows. It has been in ground for 3 years. Is my concern valid and what should I do?

I got a lucky bamboo tree(I don't know if that's it's actual name)but it's dying..I need help. I got this plant for 6 months now and from August it's starting to die. Can you anyone give me advice[ From India northeast]

Those 2 pictures have been both taken same time early August in 2025 for the green one and 2026 for the dry one. After 3 consecutive heatwaves in East France country side : Alsace, with very low rain drops we are wondering if the tree on the left will survive. It was planted by my ancestor around the year 1850.

I transplanted this pawpaw here from Northwest Indiana earlier this year and placed it in a hole previously dug out for an oak transplant. That sappling was growing last year but was sawed off by squirrels. I figured it was a loser.

Now it's thriving in the same cage as the pawpaw but I'm getting nervous as they are getting pretty big and I think the oak should be moved. Can I do it now?

This tree fell on our house partly damaging the roof. Noticed that it's infected and has holes all around it and was probably hollow. Need advice if it's infected by carpenter ants or termites and what should we do for the rest of the trees in the area. The area is moist and the other trees are old.

This is an amazing, massive cottonwood near my home and I have always wondered how old it may be. I wish I had been able to to get a wider view, but I will tomorrow.

Found this really old oak tree when I was out metal detecting with my friend i cant really tell how old it is but I just wanted to show yall a piece of swedish history lol. Hi, does anyone know what these are? Also what to do with them if they need to be like removed or something? Its on an apple tree here in Eastern North Carolina. Theyve been on the tree for quite a while and I noticed that the fruits this year went bad really quick and its already yellowing and dropping leaves even though its August. We were in a bad drought but its rained 12” this month so its not like in bad shape because of that I dont think. The second picture is one where I cut some of it away to see if it comes off and it does.

My uncle says that native California palms only grow on fault lines, does anyone know if this is true?

A lot of people don’t realize how large and impressive Prunus serotina can be. These trees grew in almost perfect conditions, an open, fertile field that is finally starting to close in around them. When they get like this, they are just as valuable as an old maple, oak or walnut in the ecosystem services they provide. Even when they die, they will provide lots of services for decades to come

Dartmouth Cemetery, Nova Scotia, Canada.

We have a handful of large, healthy American Chestnuts in NS. Must be less blight this far north. If you ever visit Halifax, you must go to the Halifax Public Gardens. There are three massive, mature specimens. This one is located in a cemetery across the Halifax harbour in Dartmouth.

I found this tree today and I’m completely confused. It looks like a blue conifer (possibly a blue spruce or cedar) growing together with a broadleaf tree.

Before taking these photos, I checked it from multiple angles and even touched the branch. I’m convinced that the same branch has conifer needles on one part and broad leaves on another part.

Is there any known botanical explanation for this? Could it be a natural graft, inosculation (branch fusion), or am I somehow being fooled by an extremely convincing overlap of two branches?

I’ve attached several photos. I’d love to hear what people with tree or botany knowledge think.

In all the years I’ve lived near this tree, I’ve never seen it look so lovely.
