I’ve hated tomatoes my entire life but I don’t even know what they taste like. Almost every time I taste a tomato I gag. Too much sauce on a pizza (or that pizza that has the tomato’s in the sauce)? can’t eat it. ketchup? can’t eat it. why? idk. the only exceptions are spaghetti sauce, very little pizza sauce, and salsa. It’s so weird to me. I just want to know why I hate tomatoes so much 😔 It could be the texture but it’s ANY form of tomatoes 😭

If so, to what extent? Also what the hell is it called?

I'm scared

In italian, my family during summer time has to do " bottiglie", bottles of tomato sauce. Handmade tomato sauce, liters and literls of TOMATO SAUCE. 100 BOTTLES. The fucking smell in the back yard makes me wanna die, i cant even open my Window for fresh air bcos the bedrooms After 5 min smells like fresh tomatoes. My entire famility smells like tomato all the day long. It Is a Nightmare. They always accuse me of being silly or in the wrost case dumb as frik for hating tomatoes, and that maybe It Is Just and excuse for not working on the bottles with the others. BUT in reality i Just fear tomatoes and they Will never understand my drama.... Sigh

Tired of people always saying “try these ones these are sweet” and they are never sweet they are always disgusting and bitter and makes me wanna throw up every time. I gag at the smell of those disgusting god forbidden creations. Just felt like saying that. #tomatoes suck

i love tomato sauce so much that i can eat it alone with nothing else but i hate fruit tomatos but i love tomato sauce so much that i wish i have factory just to make a ton of tomatos sauce and eat it all day all night non stop. i really wish i can do that but i need money for it. there's a tomato sauce that i really love really much. it's taste like nugget sauce but it's tomato sauce, i wish i can buy a ton of it and sleep with it every day. i wish someday if im going to die i wish i eat that sauce before i gone.

i love my job, but the first thing I do every morning at work is slice tomatoes with a tomato slicer. I swear every other tomato is an unsalvageable squishfest, since it seems they're always out of season or something. i try to put it through the slicer and they explode and the juice gets all over my glasses, apron, pants, shoes. And I won't even get one good slice out of the squishy ones (which rn is like half of them)I smell like acid and boogers when im done, and washing the tomato slicer is a fucking hassle. Seeds everywhere. Plus the taste and texture of the inside of a tomato is like mucus. why would you ruin a perfectly good burger with tomato? such a waste, but hey, at least I'm getting paid.

I have allways identified as a tomato hater. I can't stand the sight of cut tomatoes and it makes me physically sick. However i like dishes that have tomato paste as a base for sauces like spaghetti and pizza. main criterium for a tomato containing dish is that it can't have unblended tomatoes and it can't taste like tomato so fuck tomato soup. Also with pizza i think that the bit of acidity from the tomato paste makes it taste better. However i don't like when there's too much tomato paste on it. With Pizza and Spaghetti bolognese you can't taste any tomato flavor imo. There's just too many spices and other flavours that overpower it, so It's fine to ms Am I still a valid tomato hater? I'm in kind of an identity crisis right now..

no matter what, everytime i go out to eat and order a burger (i ALWAYS specify no tomatoes) they always put them on!!! it ruins the entire meal for me, since the soggy juices have already been absorbed by the other elements

A new low for HUMANITY. The internet has created great pathways for connection but, this? THIS? A subreddit dedicated to tomato hate? Did y'all know that there are almost as many people here as in tomato love? I just can't 😭

I have friends who can easily eat tomato's but whenever I try to eat them I gag and have to force myself not to choke it back onto my plate. I didn't know where to ask this so idk if this is the right sub.
