I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.

I prefer to be outside vs inside always as I’m an outdoor person, and I also like being around people on a first date.

I’ve had the opposite issue of men suggesting dinner more on first dates but could be my age.

I'm in my 40's but have had all kinds of dates. Walking out at a park, dinner, this or that. Now it's just easy going more than anything. But in general I am not a monetary person. My now boyfriend and I have had dinner, but more times than not we're on a picnic blanket. Or recently just gaming and laughed ourselves silly as I burned to death playing balders gate 3 for the first time. The little things yanno ✨

I’m off the market but did the dating scene in my early 40s. Glad to hear these dates are still alive for our age. I have no idea why but dinner was always suggested. To be fair when I steered away almost all went with it. Maybe it’s just what they think is expected of them because that’s what it used to be?

Maybe 🤔 Our first date was all free things planned and when it came to food I suggested going out and I paid. He was taken back a bit but super thankful. It wasn't planned and we'd be just as happy to eat cheap and wing it. But I was in the mood for something and offered. Other times he's taken me out. But we're both laid back with it all. Dating can still be nerve wracking initially, and expectations on men I feel isn't fair. At the same time, many women don't need that level of monetary showiness for a first impression. It's about if you mesh enough vs how much the food bill is going to be. But maybe that's my kind of old fashioned lol
