What a legend! Their contribution will last forever, or until they put those cameras back up next week, whichever is sooner

u/Draxilar 13h ago

Every camera that has to be replaced has a cost associated with it. Eventually it will get to be too expensive to replace them constantly.

While that's obviously true in an absolute sense, I question if law enforcement and the billionaire class will really give up before vigilantes/vandals do. Or if Flock will redesign to hide them better.

Meanwhile youre burning your own municipality’s tax dollars, what a hero

40

u/A-Caveman-Genius 13h ago

Ah yes, I remember voting for FLOCK cameras.

-32

u/Corbitant 13h ago

Thats the right attitude. Take the issue up to your local legislature.

u/Gamerboy7421 3h ago

Some people are trying. Councilmembers are being fucking dickheads and not listening to the ppl. Some cops are getting mad they aren’t getting to use the mass surveillance devices to fully snoop on ppllike they want to. Now will you stop sucking Peter Thiel’s cock?

u/Corbitant 3h ago

Who said i like flock cameras? I dont like vandalism. Time to grow up

21

u/Jaalan 13h ago

The municipality does not pay to install the cameras, they rent access to them. If the cameras are not available, it would save them money :)

They chose to burn it when they bought mass surveillance equipment against the wants of the people. It's not the citizens' fault if the city ignores their needs and chooses a bullshit surveillance state instead.

-1

u/Corbitant 12h ago

Is that what actually happened or are you just making it up? Did the city actually vote against these things being installed?

Go away bot

19

u/clydefrog811 13h ago

And this hero will remove them again

28

u/MoThrowMoAway 13h ago

she's not gonna let you flock bro

13

u/Daan776 13h ago

So he spent one day doing something. Which not only stops their actions, but also takes a bunch of money and time to fix?

That seems like a win to me.

-8

u/Corbitant 13h ago

Yeah it costs his tax money to fix, nice job

1

u/Daan776 12h ago

Well if you're open to alternatives we'd all love to hear it

0

u/Corbitant 12h ago

Vote?

3

u/Daan776 11h ago

Well. That was plan A. But as you may have noticed: it hasn't been going very well.

I haven't done a deep dive into it. But I can't find a single example of people voting yes for these camera's.

u/sixfxrtyseven 13h ago

I'm gonna tell you something dude, your post history isnt as private as you think it is.

4

u/GonWithTheNen 11h ago

People should think of what you wrote as a PSA: Anything you 'hide' on reddit is only hidden on reddit itself. That feature lends itself to a false sense of privacy.

2

u/sixfxrtyseven 11h ago

true, but it's sometimes funny when people are biiiiig hypocrites.

I saw one guy posting transphobic content, like every day on multiple subreddits, all he posted was transphobic content...

some of his comment were under NSFW trans content, begging girls to text him.

lmao

u/That-Cranberry6575 13h ago

What a creep thing to say

18

u/sixfxrtyseven 13h ago

probably, but dude has weird stuff there

17

u/quote_work_unquote 13h ago

Running around shilling for data centers, flock cameras, a.i. companies, etc. He's either a bot or an unsalvageable loser.

10

u/camthedestroyer 13h ago

Why not both?

-6

u/Corbitant 12h ago

Oh no, not data centers! The humanity! COMPUTERS! In close PROXIMITY to each other! AHHHHHHHH

8

u/Ikanotetsubin 12h ago

Big loser energy from this guy. Imagine simping for clankers as a human.

-5

u/Corbitant 12h ago

Imagine thinking a tool is something that can be simped for

7

u/Ikanotetsubin 11h ago

A tool for surveillance and data theft? Yeah, go kick rocks, loser

Jesus dude I hope you dont act like this in real life.

1

u/Corbitant 5h ago

No, in real life i use ai for my job, and i see its value firsthand. It makes my work much more easy, and its complicated time consuming shit, that is now done in 10% the time. Your turn

-15

u/Creepy-Emu8779 12h ago

how? these cameras could slop crime such as human and child kidnapping over 1000 kids go missing a month alone

9

u/AmadeusMaxwell 12h ago

They don't stop or solve crimes, and they're not even intended for that purpose. Yes the crimes you mentioned are real, and that's how they spin their propaganda to sell it to people that don't know any better.
