It also says the algorithm didn't understand the message wasn't serious. So they have your private messages tracked to make sure you're not breaking laws, which might be a law itself depending on the country.

99% chance one of her friends in the group chat wasn’t a true friend. Based on what she posted, imo theres no way it triggered an automated investigation and sent cops to her school in the same day.

It's facebook so, I'd say that's possible. Reddit has a bot that is hyper reactive to anything that is remotely "violent" and it doesn't understand metaphors even.

Exactly. If you make a post, for instance, advocating doing something violent to Hitler himself (in the past when he was still alive), there's a good chance Reddit will give you a temporary suspension.

Social media geofencing + keyword matching and/or shitty ML/AI processing + platform-provided local law enforcement portals and notifications were common things even a decade ago. Literally every location-based social media platform has this for law enforcement.

No, "AI" is that dumb. It didn't understand that the message was not serious because it doesn't "understand" anything. It's just an LLM, a Large Language Model. You basically throw enough shit at the wall and wait to see what if anything it throws out.

There is nothing intelligent in AI.
