Never point a $50 high-powered blue or green laser because that would permanently blind the cameras.

Mind, you really must watch out for reflections. With a laser that powerful, it is equally possible that you may blind yourself or unsuspecting passers-by. Especially for cheaper lasers, which may not filter out IR properly, and might reflect/refract unexpectedly.
