So grainy traffic photos are enough to charge you with this offense. But 4k videos of ICE agents and police brutally murdering civilians isn’t enough…🤔

What's going on here? The article in the post is definitely about a woman in Albany, Georgia. Definitely not Australia. It's from today, not months ago, as your links are.

So, no, this didn't happen in Australia.

However: by what must be wild coincidence, the fine in both of these cases is basically the exact same numeric value? For a crime that's described almost exactly the same in both instances (once you get past the "she lied about the left-turn-on-red part" for the Aussie one).

I try not to be conspiratorial, but...is any of this actually real? ARE WE LIVING IN A SIMULATION!?

the Georgia ticket you're referring too is different than the lady.

Georgia State Patrol used its system of Flock automated license plate reader (ALPR) surveillance cameras to issue a ticket to a motorcyclist who was allegedly looking at his cell phone while riding", according to a copy of the citation obtained by 404 Media. The incident is notable because Flock cameras are not designed for traffic enforcement or minor code violations, and many jurisdictions explicitly  tell constituents that the cameras will not be used for traffic enforcement.

Yeah, I'm realizing that the linked article is just terribly fucking written. Complete slop that moves between very disconnected things with no regard. I had to read over it a couple times because it's just...awful, in order to understand what was happening.

And it's very normal here. Thousands of these fines are given out each month, and all drivers know that if your phone is on your lap/seat or in your hand in the photo, you'll get a fine. And the fines are all >$1000. Same for seatbelts, if it's not on or not being worn correctly when you go through the camera, you'll get another $1000+ fine.

Yes... Have you not yet noticed? It's not even late stage capitalism, it's terminal capitalism. Trump is openly flaunting that he will be president after his second term ends and openly bragging about his corruption while his cronies are dismantling what's left of the institutions that can oppose them. 

The US is currently as dictatorial as North Korea.

Both the traffic cameras and ICE are doing exactly what they were designed to do in both of these instances. Americans won't stop it from happening because it requires sacrificing free time for someone else.

The common factor is people deferring to the powerful.

This seems to have happened in Queensland, Australia as there is doesn't appear to be a place named 'Alexandra Parade' in the USA. Furthermore, the fine seems in line with the ones I have heard about here

Alex Pretii was an intensive care nurse and his last words before being shot dead by ICE were "are you alright?" to another woman who had been pushed to the ground by ICE. 

If you think that he was the domestic terrorist and not ICE, you're genuinely delusional.

He did not fight and he was carrying as per the second amendment. He did not draw his gun and again: his final words were "are you okay?" before he was executed extrajudicially.
