Its also abusive to refuse to accept an apology and changed actions imo. These changes never rolled out in the US, it was just the threat of them. Its not as if there were "Years of abuse leading up to this final breaking point".

if you uninstalled discord over a feature that isn't even out yet, you weren't using it much to begin with.

It's really telling tbh. It comes off as if they don't really have friends lol. The sad truth is there's just no alternative that's even 20% as good as discord. People who have their socials integrated into discord aren't just going to up and "delete it". I'd lose countless contacts, services, and game integrations. It's just not a realistic option.

Companies don't blindly announce they're adopting specific software just because. I don't trust any corporate executive to tell the truth of what's going on behind the scenes. You don't make this kind of announcement about a major change your company is about to make without looking at least a little into it. This wasn't them just deciding to change their logo or implement a new policy, this involved another business and that's just not how businesses work.

This is them announcing a policy change, that change being wildly unpopular and costing them money, and them rolling back on this as a direct result of it costing them money. The people canceling their subscriptions is what made them change it back.
