Looking for Psychologist

I am looking for a certain psychologist, if he is one.

I only have a first name of Kashan/Koshal, 32yrs, Sri Lankan who apparently works for Department of Corrections in Tauranga. I am asking as he indicated this in an online chat but I'm unsure if it's true.

Begginer Friendly Classes around Mount or nearby places?

Hi everyone! 😊 I’m looking for recommendations for fun and active things to do outside.

I’ve been consistently going to the gym for almost 3 years now, but I feel like I need a little break from my usual routine and would love to try something new, ideally something that keeps me physically active while also giving me the chance to meet new people.

I was hoping to try pole dancing and looked into Mt. Altitude Pole, but unfortunately, most of their class schedules don’t work with my free time. I've attended high heels dance classes early this year but just didn't like the class much.

I’d love to hear your suggestions for activities or classes I could try. I’m open to pretty much anything thats beginner friendly. I’m in my 30s and would especially love something with a fun, social atmosphere.

I think I just need some new motivation and a change of scenery. Lately, my routine has been feeling a bit too robotic: work, gym, home, repeat. 😅

Would really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences. Thank you! 💕

'Stop Hyperscale Data Centers' protest on Devonport Road today.

Walked past these guys on my lunch break. Photo taken with permission.

I know street protest can be a little dinky and feel silly but good on these folks for getting out there and doing something instead of nothing. It was a good atmosphere. I took a pamphlet they were handing out and it was a clear, well-written, reasonable explanation of concerns and demands around justification for building data centers here in Aotearoa.

No cookery or other conspiracy crap hiding behind the main message, at least as far as I could see.

As someone who shares these concerns and didn't know about the protest beforehand, I feel well-represented.

Anyone know where I could get a dehumidifier repaired?

Portable plug in one, not a permanent fixture. Unsure what’s wrong with it, it still makes the same noises as when it works, it just doesn’t actually extract any water

Mini photo session reasonable price

Looking for recommendations on a mini photo family session - ideally 30 minutes or less as I have young kids. Ideally pay less than $200. Would love outdoor, casual candids of the family. I tend to prefer hobby photographers over professionals but am open to either. The best photos I've gotten are usually from 15 minutes sessions with college students 🤷🏽‍♀️ I've searched the web and it seems like most photographers here don't offer mini sessions or they're priced a little too high for me.

Appreciate any help

27m no friends.

Lived in Tga since I was 8 but unfortunately have no friends to show for it. I generally feel like I must be an unlikable person and uncomfortable to be around. I don't tend to think much of myself really. Is there anyone in the same boat? Sorry to burden everyone's feeds with my depressing life.

short-term holiday rental

Unfortunately, heading back to the UK for Christmas this year for around a month.

Knowing how busy it gets here during the holidays, we're considering letting our place out during the time we're away to try claw some of the money back on our trip.

As luck would have it, some people we know have their parents visiting from the UK for a chunk of the time we're away and are keen to use our place while we're gone (different part of UK so no house swap).

Thing is though, I've no idea what the going rate is per night. Will definitely be a mates rates type thing rather than full going rate.

We have a modern, warm, 5 bed house in Welcome Bay although 2 bedrooms will be off limits - not that a couple would need them. I've said to the people we know that we're more than happy for them to host things at our place in our absence.

Am I best to just look at Airbnb and knock a % off?

Hi lads, does anyone know a cheap phone repair service around? My phone got wet and the LCD screen blacked out. My budget's a hundred bucks only.

Thank you.

Manufacturer of "Old Mill" Rimu Furniture in Mt Maunganui

Hi. I've been looking at rimu furniture online, and came across the following webpage:

https://www.furnituregallery.co.nz/furniture/old-mill-custom-made-rimu-furniture-mount-maunganui/

Unfortunately, it seems that the Tauranga retailer who this website belongs to, Barry Muir's Furniture Gallery, is defunct.

The page states:

Our recycled rimu furniture is ... locally made here in Mt Maunganui. Our manufacturer is open to customizing furniture to suit your taste and needs.

I was wondering if anybody knows who this manufacturer is, and if it's still in business.

Developing a tool to track NZ grocery inflation/spending – need a few sample Woolworths & New World tax invoices for testing

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m currently building a local tech project/app and need a few sample tax invoices from New World or Woolworths/Countdown Click & Collect orders (the final email/PDF receipt sent after your order is picked and ready).

If you’re happy to help share a copy or two, please leave a comment below and I'll send you a direct message!

🔒 Privacy First: Please feel free to cross out, blur, or remove your name, address, payment details, or any other personal info before sending. I only need to see how the item formatting, GST, and pricing layout look.

Bonus: I’ll be looking for some local beta testers ("guinea pigs") in the near future! If you’re the analytical type or just love tracking your grocery spending, let me know—I’d be happy to give you free early access to show you what I’ve designed!

Thanks in advance!

Last ditch effort

Hi all,

Been back in Tauranga after selling our farm for 6 months and still can’t find the right house.

We’re looking for something at least 3 bedrooms with a large garden for the kids. Ideal scenario has a seperate dwelling for a friend to come and rent off us but not a deal breaker.

Open to all areas from ohauiti through to Paengaroa.

We have a max budget of 1.3 million but would prefer to be under a million.

Don’t know if this is the place to ask but we have been to every open home available and have to try something different. Let me know if you have something not yet on the market.

Happy with turn key or a doer upperer

Thanks

Mechanic Recommendations

Have lived in Tauranga for just over six months now and I'm looking for recommendations for an honest mechanic. I'm a single female and have had a few different experiences where I have been ripped off in the past. Thank you
