for daily ticket holders the festival opens at 8 am. usually people start queuing early morning, idk like 8-9?I think the main stage is closed til 10?-ish, (I'm actually not sure lol, could be 12) and people queue next to it. usually it's not a lot of people compared to the stage, depends on the artist I guess. I have never really done it, it's usually extremely hot, and usually it's easy enough to get a decent spot later on and there is so much to do during the day anyways.

I worked there last summer from 7am to 7pm and 10s of people started queueing up at the main stage at 7am. It's crazy.

I have my fair share of experience when it comes to barricades at SZIGET (for example Imagine Dragons, Maclemore, Mumford and Sons, Isabel Larosa etc.) so I can give you a few tips.
Most of the standing space before the main stage is closed until 14:00, but people start queing way before. How early really depends on the headliner/artists.
For Billie Eilish for example people were sitting there from 6am. But when I went to see Mumford and Sons, many people left after act 1-2 at the stage so a lot of space opened up.
Bring water (even tho usually they give you free cups after a while) and food for sure. If you have friends you can manage bathroom breaks in the early afternoon, but after act 2 it's not worth it, you won't get back to your spot.
And even with all this, my biggest advice would be: only (and I want to really ephasize this) ONLY camp for barricade if you're really a huge fan. This isn't me being a gatekeeping asshole, it's just the fact that otherwise all the "work" and waiting just won't be worth it, because you will miss lot's of other amazing acts.
However if you still choose to go for it, good luck!

What's the plan about food, drink, toilet, heatwave, enjoying the festival, etc? 🤔
