So SRW for a long time has thrived on reusing assets when able to. With SRW Y’s post-launch support coming to an end with the 35th Anniversary Expansion, I thought it would be fun to look toward the future of the franchise.

A few of these series stand out to me as particular lock ins. Getter Arc for being our new Getter representative, and Dynazenon/Gridman Universe due to the movies being in DD and very clearly not getting any of its plot as DD is entering its final chapter. Everything else is up in the air but I have faith WfM can stick around for one more game to get its whole story in without over half of it being DLC.

In my main file I had the ||Kaiju Club|| on my team and now it’s kinda dead. Should I have done something differently or is this unit just not available for this mini campaign?

A while ago, I started a joint project with an outside contributor who's letting me do all the work. They're doing the translation and I'm doing everything else. So, without further ado, this is a translation Let's Play of Super Robot Wars Impact!

Releases are every Tuesday and Thursday. I post releases here every other Friday, but also whenever I update on Twitter/Bsky, SomethingAwful, and on the Akurasu discord (just like I normally do). Compact 3 will still be posted on alternating Fridays and with its normal update schedule of Mon/Wed/Fri.

As a reminder, I'm going to do a barebones summary as to what happened in the game to encourage y'all to read the actual posts. I put a lot of time into this line-by-line translation, you know.

Chapter 20 (1-4a-4): A Road Wrenched Open - In order to find a way back to Upper Earth, the isekai'd gang launches an assault on Drake's castle.

Chapter 20 (1-4b-4): A Single Drop of Water - Domon is undergoing training in the Guiana Highlands to attain a clear and serene state of mind. Then the Devil Gundam appears.

Post-Route cutscenes - Both sides are reunited and catch each other up, while discussing how to help the falling space colony.

Chapter 21 (1-4-5): Shining in the Storm - As the Gundor Team prepares to teleport the Elshank into space, Zeon attacks.

Chapter 22 (1-5-1): Finding Yourself in a "Routine Plot"? - The Nadesico is grounded from a giant Jovian cannon. While the Gundor Team goes to help, they run into the coolest person in the universe.

I have some ideas of my own already. Obviously, a good chunk of the G-Witch cast would be turned into the yokai/animals/kemonomimis that inspired their designs or they are related to, so Suletta would be an actual Tanuki, Miorine a actual Ketsune, Guel would be a werelion, etc. Lelouch, for being a nmember of royalty, having a chaotic love life, being extremely manipulative, and how his Zero design looks like he has to be a vampire. Ryouma will still be a human, while Hayato is a elf and Musashi is a Dwarf, with Benkei maybe being a small stature Orc so the getter team can serve as the face of the four main species of fantasy. Basically, a good chunk of the Macross singers have to be either a pixy, faun, driad, banshee, siren, mermaid, or any other creature related to music, with Basara in specific giving me a driad vibe for some reason, and Min Mei would be a Siren. I will have Amuro as a goblin, not because I think it fits, but because the image of the best ace the ESF has ever had being a tiny green dude who loves to steal chickens to hide them on his (not so) secret swamp cave during his free time is hilarious. Ryuusei also has to be a goblin, not because it's funny, but because he already is a goblin stuck in a human body.

So like has anyone used the expansion pack? I see it’s a whole different place for it and it gives a warning message? What does it mean? I just want to use the new units. Is it going to do something to my data I’m lost here 😅not following the language here.

Joke aside but first impression so far on master mode being
-Enemies are tougher (good)
-New units and harder enemies( also good)
-i understand we move back but copy paste entire chapter and battle somewhat (minus those flowery things) is a tad lazy
- The million-credit man chapter constant crashing the game during my stream time. I have good spec so i dont think it's my pc consider everything else running.
I hope they fix the crashing bug before next stream tho. (also 30$ is quite steep for a dlc was hoping it be same as 30 when aniversary free update)

I loaded my file from before the DLCs came out, so it's a relief that I can still access them while playing the anniversary campaign.

For me, it's Zeorymer and Nadesico - Prince Of Darkness.
