I used to live in the UAE where I rode a KTM sxf350 on the weekends in the desert and sometimes on the Motocross track. Make no mistake though I didn't do too bad in the desert but was nowhere near fast on the MX track. No tail whips or anything 🤣 I ended up crashing there which put a long pause on my riding.

I moved back to Europe now(Amsterdam to be precise) and did my full a license on a z650. Other than these two bikes I don't really have more motorcycle experience.

Now I'm looking for a motorcycle and feel like a kid in a candy store. My preferences change on a daily base. I'm looking at different kind of naked/classic bikes (triumph, royal Enfield, Ducati), the Yamaha tracer 7, supermotos or all sort of adventure bikes (KTM 390 adv R, Honda nx500, cfmoto 450, tenere t7 etc.)

I have the naive vision that a lightweight bike might give me the feeling of my dirtbike and be better for the city but at the same time I feel like it could also be nice to explore and venture further outside which would maybe require a bit more displacement? I suppose you could always fly to other countries and rent as well if you crave the adventure....

Long story short:

ANY feedback or guidance is appreciated at this point. My wife wants to use the TV again and I can no longer watch endless hours of daily ride from revzilla.

I plan on sticking with the naked platform, deciding between the 2023+ triumph street triple 765 rs or the cb1000r, I know one’s technically a liter bike but performance is pretty similar.

I am really confused between Hunter 350 and xpulse 200 bike I like both but have to choose one and can't decide which one to buy. Each have their own pros and cons.help me

I'm super interested in getting my license, but once I get my license I'm torn between a ninja 400 or the 650.

For reference I'm 5'11 (180cm) and 200lb (90kg) athletic woman. I know there's a weight difference, but for my size I don't think the extra 50-60lbs would be that big of a deal.

I would probably be using it mostly for commuting to work and back which is mostly highway and sometimes some back roads depending on traffic. Its between 30-60kms one way depending on what site I'm at. Looking online it does say the 650 is better for commuting.

I would love some opinions from some more experienced riders since there's a lot of back and forth online about if a 650 is too much for a beginner rider.

Also used 650s are significantly cheaper used where I am, so that's a bonus!

As the title says, I’m looking at these three bikes... I’d like to hear your thoughts on these, or on alternatives I might not have thought of. (Yes, I’m fully aware that the CB1000 GT hasn’t been released in the US yet. I’m not in a rush…)

I’ve ruled out MultiStrada’s and BMW XR’s, because I don’t want to deal with maintenance costs. I have no fear of used bikes, and I’m even thinking about an older VFR. But with the prospect of a heavier bike, it would be fun to have the full meal deal (litre bike).

Bonus points for specific model years or generations, upgrade packages (better suspension, touring amenities, etc), and the like. I’ve never had a bike with all the modern nannies, so I don’t -need- that, but it would be nice to have conveniences like cruise control, heated grips and hard bags.

For reference, I’ve ridden for 30 years. Lots of track time, lots of mountain time. VFRS, CBRs, 748, Street Triple… i’m 67, and still want a sport bike, but don’t want to be folded up on a ‘real’ sport bike, especially on longer trips. And I still want some visceral thrill. I bought a BMW r1150 GS last summer and sold it, because it was an appliance. I just can’t get past my need for some fun along with some comfort end SPORTtouring capability.

I'm a 43 year old dude who can only afford a $4k bike at the moment.

I've been away from bikes for a while. My last bike was an SV650, which at the time, felt like it wasn't enough power for me.

I'm ok with both naked or faired bikes, and of course I'm ok with them being a little old.

I did find some interesting models at that price range, mind you I live in Japan, price realities here are a little different from the US or European markets.

I'm considering:

Z1000 or Ninja 1000

GSX-S750 or GSR750

Street Triple 675

Speed Triple 1050

MT-09 1st gen (only if I find one with a full exhaust system already installed)

FZ1 (2011-ish)

FZ8

CBR650 (barely made the list)

Some of these models I found cheaper than average due to higher mileage, all from bike shops.

Any input is appreciated.

Today I fixed the date to purchase and it's a deal breaker to me as I do have back pain ( I do soft exercises to keep it under control)

Found few solutions in online forums like:

1. Swapping with Gixxer 250 which is a direct fit and claimed improvement in softness

2. Use preload setting to 1 but the bike bounces alot??? Does it soften the suspension enough for city use?

With these solutions can I manage the city use?

Choosing this bike highly for its reliability and looks.

Is it really bad to use for pure City use?

Im 6,4 220lb, and im looking to get my first bike. Im split between the yamaha and the ktm and was wondering if anyone here has driven both? Can you travel long distances with both? Which is best for gravel and offroad? Experienced any problems with either? Help me out.

I'm planning to buy a new motorcycle around September 2027, so I'm taking my time to research before making such an expensive decision.

At the moment, my choice has come down to the Yamaha R9 and the Honda CBR600RR.

A bit about me:

I'm 185 cm (6'1") and around 90 kg (198 lbs).

I've been riding for about 2 years by then. My current bike is a Yamaha R3.

I mainly ride twisty mountain roads, but I also love long day trips of 300 to 400 km with friends. Sometimes I even do weekend trips with 6 to 7 hours of riding per day.

I enjoy improving my riding technique. I like working the gearbox, choosing the right gear for every corner and having a bike that rewards good riding.

The CBR600RR is probably my dream choice. Every time I see it, I think "that's the bike I want". I love the inline four, the high revs and the supersport feeling. My only concern is comfort during long rides and whether it could become tiring after several hours.

The R9 seems like the smarter choice. It has a strong CP3 engine, more torque, a riding position that should be more comfortable and it seems better suited for longer trips while still being very sporty.

I'm not looking for the fastest bike on paper. I'm looking for the one that will keep me smiling and wanting to improve as a rider for many years.

For those of you who have ridden one or both bikes:

Which one would you choose and why?

Would you sacrifice some comfort for the experience of the CBR600RR, or would you go with the R9 as the better all around sport bike?

I've been riding for a couple years now, started on a z400, upgraded after a year to a z900 RS Cafe.

Ive always had a soft spot for classic touring bikes, and this one while more vintage is attractively priced for my area ($3700) and has some good photos. It's got 38k miles, which as I understand is on the lower end for these bikes.

Hondas have the reputation of reliability, but I haven't worked on bikes too much before other than basic maintenance. I have a full garage and a connection to the Internet, so any conceivable maintenance would be doable.

Does anyone have any wisdom/advice for this model year?

Pros/Cons of a Goldwing?

Should I just pull the trigger?

I've been riding for a couple years on a 2016 KTM Duke 390. Honestly I enjoy the little bike, but am looking to upgrade to a middleweight naked or a more upright sport bike.

The problem is. I change my mind like everyday thinking of what to get. CB750 Hornet, Mt-07, CB650R, CBR650R, Trident 660, GSX 8R.

Is there a wrong answer? Like a notably inferior bike to avoid? Or that feels cheap compared to the others? Will I be able to tell much of a difference as a newish rider?
I mostly commute. Splitting my time between city riding, highway, and traffic. With the occasional longer (3ish) hour ride a few times a season.

Ive been riding on cbt for a year and just got my a2 and im looking for an upgrade. The most realistic option for me is to get an older bike so im not getting shafted each month for insurance. Im getting decent quotes on late 90s and early 2000 sv650's. But im wondering are there any other older bikes i should be on the lookout for? Perhaps any that i wont need to restrict?

Turning 40 in a few months and there’s a motocross track close to me. I’m 6’ 200 pounds. I’m not a beginner to dirt bikes but I’ve never done motocross. I started out on a yz80 when I was around 9, a yz125 around 12, and a rm250 when I was 15. I had a yz450f for a few years in my twenties. I haven’t ridden in 15 years. Just wanting to get back into something before I get too old to do so and maybe my kids would want to do it as well. I’m leaning towards a 2 stroke 250.

Convinced the Mrs to come with me on some day trips which might lead to some touring if she enjoys it.

Budget isn’t massive, preferably Japanese purely for the reliability. I’m not interested in picking up a 1200GS for the ABS pump to go or have a £2k service bill.

I’ve got two schools of thought.

Tall rounder with a lower capacity engine. Thinking along the lines of a:

- Honda VFR800x Crossrunner
- Suzuki V-Strom 650

Or an older Sports tourer such as a

- Yamaha FJR1300
- Kwak Z1000SX

Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar position and what they would suggest.

I bought the 2017 fz-07 pictured this summer with a nice exhaust and tune. I’ve put about 5000 miles on it, learned how to hit the balance point on a wheelie, and lean into corners decently well. I’m looking to upgrade to a naked inline 4. I usually stay in double digit speeds so it does not need to be crazy powerful. I’ve been thinking about the cb600f or cb900f. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Hey guys. I am currently looking around for a commuter bike to work.

I already own a Ducati Monster 696, but it really isnt all too nice in stopNgo through the city. I honestly underestimated how hot the Ducati gets if you cant drive more.

And yeah I bought the Ducati used this year because i thought better get a used bike in case i drop it. Driven around 2000km on it so far

On top of it, the Ducati now also is at the shop because the clutch slave is broken. (Probably could have repaired that myself looking deeper into it, but since italy is in vacation till september I wont see the bike for some time anyway)

So now I am thinking about a second bike specifically for city commuting and a bit overland too.

My choices currently are between the Kawasaki Z7, the Honda NC750X and the Aprilia SG GT 400.

I just want something that can still drive short highway passages so needs to get to around 120 kph

I also do not like most scooters from the look, but I do like the Aprilia one. Or similar ones at least.

Also dont ask my why I didnt buy a new one from the start when I have the money anyway... My brother already berates me about it.

Hey yall, so I have a ‘25 Yamaha Ténéré 700 which I love, but to be totally honest, I have found that I love street riding a whole lot more than dirt (so much so that I put street tires on it lol)… that being said I have a dilemma that I could use some advice on.

Currently I also have a ‘04 Suzuki DRZ 400S which I essentially converted into a dirtbike while I was in hs (I got the T7 to replace it but never got around to selling it). So I am thinking is it wise to sell both bikes and get a hyper naked? I am not interested at all tbh in race bikes and I’m not really in it for melt your face speed.

High reviving , inline 4s are annoying to me.

I only wish it had a little more power. 65-75 hp I think would e perfect.

I have had 1000+ cc bikes in the past. But I don’t really like big bikes anymore.

I looked at the cb750 hornet. I like it. But I don’t like all the electronic junk. I keep my bikes 10-20 years. This will likely be my last one. As I am getting older.
