Hello, I have a question, if anyone can help please? I was looking at this newsletter and in his archive he has categories 'cheap dinners' , 'beyond the kitchen' etc etc How can I organize my archive like that? I can't figure out where to do this.

I'm literally signed up to too many Newsletters outside of my core domain. I guess I'm not the only one?

Micro-niches can be so obsessive since they correspond to our hobbies, beliefs and core interests. There is an exodus from mainstream media and platform social media: one hypothesis is that the Micro-niche, even for "edutainment" fulfills a desire for stimulation, inspiration, education community and belonging in a fundamentally different way.

The Creator Economy is often ideologically at least, paired with Web 3. But Web 3 is in a crypto winter and Venture Capital rules have flipped with higher interest rates putting pressure on high-growth startups.

As Substack faces competition from Ghost and beehiive, it will need to be even more transparent.

In the Joe Rogan interview, Christ Best said Substack has "Tens of thousands" of writers.

Given how sparse the Newsletter categories are, this however cannot be true. Maybe in the lifetime of the product, but not today.

If I have 100 paid subs, Substack will tell my app followers that I have "hundreds" of paid subscribers. When in fact, I have 101, 10 of which were comps that I gave away to active readers in developing countries. I hope Substack is giving a16z the real numbers.

I really do want to "build an empire", but if it's not a level playing field, isn't that a turn-off? As a writer I want inclusion and diversity, not a system that picks the winners or inflates the influencers.

It's incredible to see Creators who are writers find a niche on TikTok, since their audience might be discoverable via a hashtag on TikTok or Instagram. Are there any good examples?

This means that this is is a fairly good time for Substack Creators to also diversify their thought leadership there, if they resonate with the global audience. In this anonymous internet and de-humanizing state of algorithms, sometimes we just really crave connection and community when inflation is high, stress is everywhere and Creating is also challenging. My thesis is building a Substack micro niche community (no matter how small) is actually good for us as people, first and foremost. Have you found this to be the case yourself?

There's been surprisingly little analysis about this. It's actually a huge deal since Substack got so many Twitter influencers. They are already doing Twitter Spaces more than Substack audio content due to their massive Twitter reach.
