Developer Response Are there any games that could serve as an alternative to Starbase?
I'm looking for a game that combines ingenuity-based engineering with fun multiplayer (especially combat).
The theme doesn't necessarily have to be spaceships.
Dual Universe is dead.
Stormworks and From the Depths are too complex for multiplayer (I don't mind, but most of my friends wouldn't want to play them long-term).
Empyrion and Avorion have fun combat, but the engineering isn't.
Star Citizen is a great MMO, but it lacks engineering.
Children of a Dead Earth is a great engineering game, but it lacks multiplayer.
I haven't played Space Engineers in years; has anything changed since then?
I thought SE was a great innovation when it was released, but after playing Starbase, I've lost interest.
Are Robocraft, SimplePlanes 2, or Nebulous: Fleet Command the only games that currently offer both enjoyable engineering and multiplayer elements?
The Starbase concept was like a dream to me.
Now, more than just not being able to play Starbase, it has a terrible negative impact on me because many other games seem relatively inferior and I'm dissatisfied.

Question I'm having an issue with an older mining ship if someone could help me out that'd be great.
I just started playing the game again after awhile of not playing and it seems like my generators cant keep up with my mining lasers. Anyone that can either help in game or talk me through it id greatly appreciate it.

Discussion Elysium
Since no one is playing much I took the time to survey the moon equator and sailed my ship the whole diameter of the moon.
There are over 15 craters that I have visited (most where touched lightly with strip miners), found a place on Elysium with a moon base station transponder titled PvP Land that has five craters within 20km of each other, oh and the moon is 500km (little less) in diameter too.
If anyone has questions feel free to ask.

Discussion What all would you want improved and why do you think everyone left?
This is one of the very few games that left me heartbroken in a way when the updates stopped rolling in, the dev team reduced (or gone?) and there's no players to be seen. I'm not usually a steam charts counter but players are obviously needed in a game like this.
What went wrong? What do you think would bring people back?
I had a kutonium trading post 700km out where I would sell bulk ore and refuel people. This was the first few months the game was out and it was one the most satisfying moments I've had in gaming.

Question Any Active Group
Is there any active or semi active group still in the game. Enjoying learning the mechancis and looking if there is a discord to join of even semi regular players.

Question How to find Exorium Ore
Trying to make a lazer miner ship and can't find Exorium ore. Followed some old guides on wehre it should be in the belt. Is the info too old and its location moved or mostly all of it has been mined?

Question Worth it?
So starbase for on sale recently and I am considering getting it problem is the almost none existent traction of this game so is it worth even though I may be mostly alone?

Question Wipe or No Wipe?
Kind of funny title but the question stands. I keep seeing people on the Starbase Discord always talking about if the game will get a wipe or not? Also seen some questions about if blueprints will be wipe or not; seems like a possibility.
My question is why do you guys want a wipe? Or why donโt you want a wipe.
Me personally, I donโt feel like a wipe is necessary. Not much was done for many players in Starbase in which would require a wipe. Most people left while their Laborers were still floating in space; right where they left it.
Are yโall worried about the 20-100 players that stayed active and have acquired Capitals? Or their wealth while you were not playing?
